The hostess whom I believe her name was spelled Myleken, is one of the things we were not pleased with. We had reservations at 2:00 and requested the table behind where she initially seated us. She said it wasn't available because there were no servers for that table. So, we sat where she seated us. 5 minutes later, we had not been approached by a server but she brought another group to the table we had requested. Really?? Ten minutes goes by and we still had not been approached by a server. Myleken was standing behind us talking to the girl next to our table. At the 15 minute mark, I got up and asked Myleken if we had a server? She very non-chalantly said "I, uh .......can check". Really?? She represents Zehnders poorly. She has no place being in a customer-facing position. Finally, Jessica comes out as a server. Jessica apologized, saying nobody told her that she had our table. She seemed genuine and did a great job. She did say that she wasn't told it was my husband's birthday, either. Please understand that this review is not about Jessica. She essentially saved the day. Conversely, somebody needs to have a talk with Myleken and teach her how to speak to people, not to act like guests are an interruption to her day and have her facts straight when people make a specific request.

It’s always a pleasure to go to Zehnder’s for a meal. We typically get the family style chicken dinner. It’s always very good! This time we were seated and our family hadn’t been arrives quite yet. I am diabetic and started having a low blood sugar. Our server went and got me something to turn the low sugar event around and was incredibly sweet. Her name is Danielle. She took incredible care of us. Kudos to her for helping me through a potentially serious medical issue. We love Frankenmuth and Zehnder’s. Absolutely we’ll return.

Our server was one of the best I have ever had. He was super kind and friendly and attentive to our needs. Always pleasant and helpful. When reserving the table, it was super easy to do so. I noted that I would have my 95 year old dad with a walker in the group and they placed us in a "quieter" corner, out of the way to accommodate placing his walker, which was perfect! It was also very easy to edit the reservation when our group turned from 5 to 7. The wait time was excellent and the Hostess was very kind as well. I had the Rotisserie chicken and though it was tasty, it was quite tough and dry. I was disappointed, in that Frankenmuth is famous for their chicken. The vegetables that came with it were excellent, but nothing was hot, simply luke warm. My group enjoys hot food, so that was disappointing. Very surprised how pricey, but the night with family was worth it. I very much appreciated that even though only three of us got the all you can eat chicken dinner, that everyone got certain appetizers and ice cream. That is lovely and generous! Ultimately, it was all about the experience for me! We live near Reese and rarely ever come to Frankenmuth, but it was just a lovely family evening out, with my brother, his wife, my cousin and her husband, my brother here from Texas and my 95 year old father. What a blessing! (P.S. My mom used to be a waitress at Zehnder's! <3) Thanks for providing a memorable experience for me and my family.

I had the Bavarian sausage dinner (3 different sausages on a bed of sauerkraut). It came with all the breads/salads/soup like the all-you-can-eat chicken dinner. I also got a side of giblets in gravy just because. Everything was excellent as usual. Not very busy at 4:00 PM on a weekday, so basically no waiting for anything. Highly recommended!

We come to Zehnders a few times a year and we love the food, the service and the charm of this establishment. Also make sure to check out the shops downstairs!

I purposely made reservations for a 4 PM weekday to beat the rush (have eaten here multiple times in the last 13 years). Five minutes from check-in to being seated. I got the all-you-can-eat chicken dinner, which has breads/salads/chicken noodle soup as appetizers, and mashed potatoes/gravy/stuffing/boiled carrots and onions/egg noodles with breadcrumbs as sides. Even though I had not eaten for 24 hours, I still could not finish the last of the 3 pieces of chicken. I did eat the dish of chocolate ice cream for dessert :-) They still put a plastic animal on the ice cream, even though I am a grown-up. The blue camel will join the giraffe and others collected over the years. Service was great, waitress was personable, answered questions about the town. Zehnder's is justly famous, one of the three things to come to Frankenmuth for (the Bavarian Inn and the fudge are the other two). I am here for a week of vacation, no doubt will eat there again at least once.

Service at a booth with 3 people and the service started out fine, but our waiter got a large noisy table right next to us and our service ground to a halt. I ended up waiting almost 30 minutes for our bill after we were done you ice cream - my daughter went across the street to shop and came back before i got the bill.
