We had high hopes for this visit, hoping to find a new "neighborhood gem". We were pretty disappointed. Our white bean dip was over-salted to the point of being nearly inedible. My glass of pinot noir was clearly from an open bottle that was beginning to turn. Our $10 "half" Cesar salads contained barely a forkful of romaine, and our pasta entrees were kind of tasteless, though nicely portioned. I think this place can do better, and perhaps it was an "off night" for the chef.

The food was pretty bad. Lovely inside and great service. Place was crowded so we assumed decent food. Ambiance was nice and there was an acoustic guitarist. Would be nice if you were going out for drinks with friends. But food was not good.

Wheatfield's was very good in most respects. Our entrees were very enjoyable, and the appetizer we ordered, which was a special that day, was outstanding. Our dining room was somewhat noisy, and the bar area, which was some distance away, was noisy as well. However, the noise was not at a distracting or annoying level. Service was polite, but the waitress could've come around more. I wanted another drink, but by the time she came by to check on us we were nearly finished with our meal so I didn't order one. Overall, it was a very good experience and we'll be back soon.

We recently had dinner at Wheatfields with friends. Our wait server was outstanding and personable. Our meals were tasty and the portions were generous. What was disappointing was that many items were uncharged... bread, Titos vodka... The metal cost crept higher than we anticipated. The meal was worth the time and cost however, be aware that there will be a premium for the experience.

Food was bland, the staff was untrained and seemed uninterested. Strong aroma of cigarette smoke coming into the dining area. I wanted to try this place and was seriously disappointed. Definitely not worth the price and will not be returning.

Our lunch began nicely. We indicated that we wanted a table so we could talk (HS friends reunion after 53 yrs). Within a short time 2 additional groups were seated near us with children who were not quiet (yet not always their fault) Our drinks were good- the Sangria was pricey for the size. Our food was generally good. The salmon on the salad bowl was dry. Since we lingered awhile talking, the noisy groups left allowing us a chance for peaceful conversation.
