Built in 1840, this Cape May estate is now home to the acclaimed Washington Inn and Wine Bar. The Craig Family has carefully preserved the beauty & essence of this distinctive treasure without undertaking major alterations to its original form. The Inn's welcoming facade overlooks tree-lined Washington Street in the seaside community Historic District. The Washington Inn offers six unique dining areas, from a summer patio to cozy fireside tables. Cocktails are a must in the Wine Bar, where the passing Cape May scene can be best appreciated.     The Washington Inn is a lovely place to dine in Cape May. We were seated on the porch and had a lovely 3 course early bird at a reasonable price given the quality of the food. The added bonus was a BYO for the Sunday early bird with no corking fee. The food was delicious and the wait staff was friendly and warm. We loved Roxy, our server And The Inn is a beautifully kept Cape May gem.

    Always my favorite. From the moment you pull up to the Washington Inn and the valet greets you your night turns into a special evening! The bar area is lively, and the drinks are fabulous! We had dinner in the garden room, which is my favorite room but anywhere in the Washington Inn has a beautiful ambiance! The selections are abundant, the food is delicious, and the desserts are to die for! The staff and the service is wonderful. We’ll definitely be back.

    We absolutely love the Washington Inn. The food was delicious, my wife had the Mediterranean Seabass and I had the Lamb & Ricotta Cavatelli. My wife's favorite thing was the Basket of Gruyere Puffs. And the service was excellent. This is always a favorite spot to go when we're in Cape May.

    Always have a great experience when we come to Washington Inn. The food is beautiful and so tasty and well prepared. The wine pairing is spot on. And dessert, which I always say no to, is always delish! One of my top places to dine!

    The Washington Inn remains our favorite restaurant anywhere. This time we had filet, cavatelli with lamb, burrata, mushroom soup, salmon and the chocolate mousse tower and everything was spot on. The sommelier recommended a delicious bottle of cab too. Can’t wait to return!
