My favorite restaurant always. I stick to the standards and they never disappoint. Tonight: 2 dozen oysters, chicken liver pate’, steak frites medium rare, and bread pudding. Great service. Love the manager. Ambience lovely.

We usually love VR, been coming 20+ years, but last nights experience wasn’t the best. Everything started out great (apps, drinks, oysters), but there was wayyyy too long of a lag btwn starters and dinner (at least 30 mins). When dinner finally arrived, my friend’s onion soup was cold, and my bouillabaisse (gotten plenty of time here’s before) was totally off-tasting… Not enough tomato/ flavor. Our waitress apparently decided she was done with us after that, never checked back, cleared our table without asking/ speaking, didn’t offer dessert (which we had planned on getting) and just brought our check. It was uncomfortable at that point so we just left. Unfortunate end to the night.

Vin Rouge is a very good restaurant with great service. When making reservations, ask for a table that is not in the bar area. This area is a little too busy with people constantly walking by. We had the Shrimp Provencal, Onion soup, Olives, New York Steak and Beef Tenderloin. All were very good and the onion soup is the best I’ve ever had. The steaks were good, however, is that really French? I would like to see more traditional French foods on the menu, like Beef Bourguignon, Coq Au vin, etc. Overall this is an excellent restaurant, just needs a little tweaking.

We celebrated my birthday with a gorgeous French dinner and weren't disappointed. This has become an annual tradition and we look forward to it every year. I had the salmon which I HIGHLY recommend. The olives are delish, and the chocolate mousse is the perfect finish. All were fabulous and I love that they even put a candle on the dessert for me!

We had a great experience at Vin Rouge. Jax was a delight and took good care of us, making food recommendations and making certain we were well cared for. The food is excellent. Everything from starters through dessert was well prepared and delicious. The ambiance feels authentically like a bistro in Paris. We’ll be back!

It was a very busy New Year's Eve, so the slightly lower scores are due to understandable pressures on staff and the fact that most diners wished to be inside rather than out. ;-) Even so, the experience was well worth the small inconveniences and does not really detract from our ongoing experiences with this fine restaurant. Thanks for helping us celebrate the New Year...Cheers!

We went there for our New Year's Eve dinner. We shared an appetizer, foie gras, which was excellent. as was the duck confit and the frisses aux lardon. The entrees, hanger steak and the maitake bourguignon were also outstanding. Very nice wine list too. Our server, Spencer G., was excellent; friendly, available but not hovering. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable dinner.
