Views are spectacular Staff could not be more helpful Set menu was a tad restrictive if you have any dietary requirements, but the staff really tried to accommodate this Otherwise, scenic bliss at level 42

Great views obviously, and quite empty thanks to imaginary Coronovirus terror, but the actual cocktails were really poor. Not that expensive for where we were, but just a couple of drinks chucked in a glass. Service was good and helpful though.

Sadly a poor experience on this occasion. I have been before but this time I found the service to be lacking as it was busy. It was my partners birthday and we had asked for a view of the Thames. Whilst spaces cannot be guaranteed we were told they would note the request. Sadly on arrival, we were stood eating for some time before being taken to a table which wasn’t great. Table was not clean at all. People who had not booked and just walked-in had been given priority over the better seating. See little point pre-booking if this is the system. Won’t go back im afraid.

I would recommend but with a warning. There were 4 of us and given a window with 4 chairs but the next window had at least eight people so the noise level was awful so we left after one drink. On leaving we all said goodbye to the reception staff - and only as we were out of the door one staff member eventually said goodbye. It was a rather disappointing start to the evening.

Nice views of the city. Overpriced and 12.5% service is added on regardless. I would like to choose whether to tip or not. Had a pleasant time here but wouldn’t recommend or come back.

This was my wife and I's first visit in probably 3 years; unfortunately, Vertigo is now looking very dated and tired in comparison to similar venues in London, most notably the Shard. The experience of going through the main glass-doored entrance of the Nat West Tower, followed by the airport-like metal detector, which added a sense of exclusivity to the visit, has now gone - replaced by a side-street entrance tucked away around the side of the building. Upon exiting the lift at floor 42, the foyer décor which greets you is still the same as it was almost 9 years ago, and is now looking pretty tired and dated. Having waited around 5 at the reception to be seated, we were taken to a section which displayed the same sense of tiredness as the foyer, with sizable rips present in the seating. Service was prompt...as was the rapid removal of all menu's jus t after our bottle of champagne had been brought to us (good job we were only having drinks). Last orders were called at 22.06 hrs which kind of left a 'rushed' impression, almost as if the establishment wanted us to leave as soon as we'd sat down. The views remain fantastic, however the overall experience, coupled with a bizarre choice to play moderately loud 70's/80's music, was disappointing, which is a shame as this used to be a great addition to an evening out . It had been a long time since we last visited Vertigo 42 and based on this experience it will be an equally long time, if not longer, before we return. Desperately in need of a re-vamp to bring it up to date with the competition; until then we'll be giving this a miss.
