   The prices would suggest great food and great service - we had neither. The steak was so salty I could only manage a few bites. Our server never checked on our meal or noticed we didn’t have plates/silverware for either course. We let the restaurant know in advance this was a special celebration - not once during our time in the restaurant was that acknowledged in any way.

   Truffle Pig has become a staple of our Steamboat Dining rotation. Excellent main courses with a lot of variety. The service is great too. It can get a little busy at times so recommend a reservation.

   Phenomenal dinner! It’s a bit pricey, but it’s a ski resort. Our meals were incredible. Service was top notch. Atmosphere was lively and lovely!

   Appetizers - octopus and artichokes were good. Dinners - pork chop large and enjoyed. Scallops were fair to poor - risotto terrible, and a hair in the dish as well. Bucatini - flavors all over the place and too heavy - did not need the blue cheese -would not order. Burger large and huge serving of truffle fries. Wine - large list but they ran out of chianti??? strange - the Nebbiolo was fine. We liked the Grateful Dead theme because we are all Dead Heads - this helped a bit. VERY expensive place; not unexpected for a ski resort but over $80 for elk extreme. We thought we would eat there rather than go into town - would not do this again

   Service was fine but all the entrees other than the Bucatini were mediocre. The main course was good but the sides that went with the main course greatly detracted from the meal. It was like the chef was trying to be fancy but nothing meshed all that well. For example, the braised lamb was tender and delicious but the parmesan grits were served cold and didn’t taste very good. Same issue existed for the scallops and the prosciutto wrapped duck, the sides detracted from the meal. The bolognese was merely passable. So overall, for the price, the food was disappointing. I would recommend getting several small plates (they were good) and a dessert and skip the main courses.

   Great spot on the mtn but the food was hit or miss. Bolognase, mushroom soup and steak were excellent. The panzanella salad only had 2 croutons ?! and the salmon on it was so rare it must have been frozen when they seared it. we had already sent back the octopus which came out completely burned the first time (we haven’t sent something back in many years to give you perspective) so I didn’t want to complain again. The second octopus was good but a pretty small serving for the price. The key lime pie was excellent . We would go back but would stick to the meat options.

    Heard great things about this place and was utterly disappointed. Save your money for Besame or Primrose!
