   Amazing! The grassfed burger with gluten free bun was so good. I added lettuce and tomato. The hot tulsi tea omg! The gluten free flat bread is the best anywhere! Our server was great!

   Visited Saturday for a birthday dinner. Initial service was a bit slow, but entree delivery took over 45 minutes. Maybe it was our order because 2 other tables got their entrees before we did, and we didn’t receive any updates from our server without us asking. Everyone seemed overly busy. Servers were very nice, management was empathetic, Properly-wise, lovely open kitchen, but created more noise than other True Food Kitchens. Bathrooms were not kept up.

   I’ve been to this location before but the quality and care in their preparation was truly lacking this time. I had an ancient grain bowl and the sweet potatoes were undercooked, the onions seemed not fresh, and the other ingredients were just poorly prepared. It also was sort of thrown together and the presentation was disappointing and sloppy. I’m not even a foodie and I noticed this. To be fair, I did provide this feedback to the server and she offered to have the chef remake it, or have me order something else. I politely declined, but appreciated the offer. I probably won’t be returning.

   I love this place! The food is always good! Our server was very nice and accommodating! We sat in the patio which was comfortable and quiet enough for a nice conversation with my friends. Will definitely come back soon!

   We popped in for an afternoon happy hour and usually love TFK Newport but, unfortunately, our Bougie Blanco pizza was overcooked and our server quite “absent” (rarely checked in), so we didn’t let them know. Not sure if they were short-staffed that day but the service was atypically slow and disconnected - it was an overall bummer of a visit.

   Very disappointing experience, which was surprising. We were seated by a nice guy, but after that all went downhill. No waiter or waitress came to help us for over 15 minutes. We had to ask. Then, there were like 4 others who came by to help, which was a fragmented mess. Worst - I ordered meatloaf sliders, with no indication of mushrooms. But - it was covered in them!! And the staff were not near as apologetic and accommodating as you’d expect. In fact, one of the 4 waitresses said if she was on point the whole time she would’ve let me know there were mushrooms. Like - take ownership and accountability for your restaurant! Even if you weren’t the one who took the order. So, we couldn’t eat the food due to mushroom allergies. Come on true food - mushrooms is one ingredient you really need to be transparent about. This should not be a surprise. Last - it’s Christmas / holiday time and the place had almost 0 ambiance. There were beyond minimal decorations, so it didn’t feel inviting, warm or interesting. Totally could have been a boring January. They are lucky the salad was decent. There are way too many other restaurants to go to in OC. We won’t be going back any time soon.

   Loooove True Food. The food is delicious and fresh and the service is amazing. They have the nicest people who work there. My entire family loves it.

   Great service, food was ok. We were celebrating a birthday over lunch and never felt rushed so that was lovely. Good vibes there.

    The server was great but the manager overseeing the food was rude. Seems our order got lost. No apology from management. Meals got comp’d but we tipped the server on full bill as it was not her fault. We will still go back as we love the place.
