For some reason, waiter was not happy not comfortable to talk to ,, not much friendly. Took away plates before even asking. I think that’d be my last time going there.

Waited for several minutes to be greeted by front of house. Server was very abrupt and seemed almost uninterested in our table. No Christmas menu which is why I booked in the first place. Bread was terrible. Food from main menu was ok but not great. No true issues with anything, but not the experience I was expecting based on reviews, location, and prices

Christmas day dining at Tria. First time dining experience there for us. First off, the food was excellent! I had the apple muffin encrusted whitefish which was recommended by our server, Paul, and it was delicious! My wife had the filet mignon, and she said it was tender, tasty and cooked to perfection. The other two in our party also enjoyed their food. One had the whitefish and the other had the pork chop. Both said they were excellent. Our server, Paul, on the other hand seemed to be a little resentful to be working on Christmas. He was, at times, curt with us, which made our experience uncomfortable. As we were finishing up around 8:30pm, the staff started setting up all the tables in the restaurant for breakfast the following morning. It reminded me of a mess hall with the clanging of coffee cups and flatware being placed on the granite top tables. I understand that the staff wanted to go home but it really was somewhat uncouth for a $75-$100 a plate restaurant. We will probably not return. I'm not complaining about the price as we dine in that price range fairly often, but just for reference for two, our bill with tip was $216.00 and there were only two alcohol beverages on it, in case you might be thinking that the bill included a bunch of drinks.

Thanksgiving banquet was good - we will return next year but will dine at the 3pm seating not the 5pm setting as several items, including the cuts of turkey and cobbler/ice cream dessert was already limited and not replaced during the 5pm seating. Recommend they find a new pastry chef for next year as many of the cookies/cupcakes just plain stale.

Updated review: Food and service were good. Originally I had posted about an awkward incident that happened. Thankfully the manager reached out and took my complaint very seriously. After she investigated the issue it turned out to be a bit of a misunderstanding. Great response from management.

This was our wedding night dinner for my family. Paul, our server was adequate at best. He was not engaging or inviting and as the bride I was not impressed as we had the private room for the occasion. The salads were served in a small soup cup which was awkward and when I asked for additional butter for my filet mignon, I was served a cold scoop of butter in a small silver ramekin. We would have been better off with Mimi as our sever, she took great care of us at breakfast the following morning. Additionally, the dining chairs in the breakfast room are torn and tattered which is not an attractive look for an Autograph collection property. We will not return to this property when traveling to Detroit in the future. Please step up your game.

Everything took a long time, from being seated to ordering to food arriving to desert order being missed and taking even longer. Food quality was good, prices a little steep, expected better service at this price level.
