Considering its location and the all-round quality it offers, Timo is excellent value. No wonder it’s popular with the locals. This being Kensington High Street, locals include Sir David Frost, Boy George, and Sunday Times restaurant critic Michael Winner. Charming owner Piero Amodio is often around to welcome guests into his narrow, serene space elegantly done out with brown and beige chairs, wooden floor, and pale walls supporting artwork of a walled garden. Pasta is where Timo’s kitchen really excels; everyone loves to start with tortellioni filled with braised guinea fowl, beetroot butter and thyme, followed either by ravioli stuffed with ricotta, spinach, butter and sage (lunch menu) or tagliatelle with prawns, asparagus and cherry tomatoes (a la carte). If there’s room, order the chocolate and hazelnut fondant; it’s exquisite.

Arrived about 15 minutes late because a local concert overran. No problem for Timo, though they had called my mobile to check we were coming. Greeting and service were warm and helpful without being over-familiar. Food came in just the right amounts, and was well prepared and presented as well as being delicious. Young staff charming and attentive.

We had a wonderful meal at Timo's on a Friday lunchtime. The restaurant was not busy but had enough people to make a nice atmosphere. The food, all three courses, was just delicious - a variety of breads with dipping oil, carrot soup, chicken in lemon sauce and rhubarb dessert - everything was beautifully presented and extremely good. The Maitre De was lovely and friendly and chatted to us for a while. This was a birthday treat and it was perfect, much, much better than I had expected. We can strongly recommend Timo's and will definitely go again soon.

Booked for 5 and we had a very good time. Have been there before and did not disappoint. The quality of the food and preparation were excellent. Spaghetti con vongole (mussels) divine, lots of flavours. Main was dentice (snapper) very nicely pan-fried and very well prepared with vegetables. Service is very good, ambience one of my favourites as not too small, not too big, just perfect size (and not noisy at all)

Our favourite London restaurant. Never disappoints. Never tries to be flash, but always spot on in delivery of excellent Italian food, creatively designed and presented with excellent attention to detail. The fact that it is clearly a regular for locals tells you all you neeed to know about its consistent quality. There are more "fashionable" Italian restaurants in west london, but none better than Timo. We are tough markers, but the full marks are well deserved

It's a while since I had been at Timo and it was good to know that the standard is just the same. Lovely Italian cuisine with a contemporary twist. Tiramisu is the best ever and they are still using the same wonderful ATT coffee!

We were going to the exhibition at Olympia and looked around for somewhere civilised to eat lunch. Timo is it. Italian style with extensive list of Italian wines from many regions. It has small frontage on the main road but extends back some distance inside. Modern interior decor. At 13.30 on a Friday we were one of just 3 tables occupied. We had a good value £19 three course lunch. The tomato and cheese starter, followed by vegetarian tart, and panacotta dessert was good value. We chose the Italian merlot wine which went well with our choices. Service very attentive.
