We made a reservation through Open Table for Thanksgiving expecting a menu with some Thanksgiving specials. We arrived at 1:00 pm. Come to find out there was a buffet only when we arrived. No communication whatsoever even when we were greeted by our server. All at $99 a plate! The turkey was an overcooked carcass that didn’t even resemble turkey. My daughter couldn’t even bite the tiny piece of dark meat she was given!!!!! No traditional Thanksgiving dishes, the seafood bar stunk of rotting fish. The desserts were all depleted. We asked for dessert refills but none came. So we settled for some small cupcakes that were exactly like those Walmart sells (actually Walmart has better ones!). Then they tacked on a 20% gratuity ($39.95) - for what. No one waited on us - it was self serve. Actually when we went up for the entree they cleared our table of everything including water! We had to wait for silverware, water and napkins! And to top it all off they had a two person band! Could not talk or hear anything!! Oh my I have never ever experienced such a horrible meal and atmosphere especially for that cost! We have cancelled our Christmas dinner as a result. Stay away! Terrible!

Some friends came to town and have never been to The Wave. What a wonderful experience. Although it is in Costa D’este, a hotel, on the ocean, it is one of the best restaurants in Vero Beach. From the moment we entered, the staff was wonderful. It has always been wonderful since they opened. If you don’t try it, you’ll be missing out on a foodie experience. For starters, we had corn chowder and the octopus with potatoes, olives, fennel, chorizo with a tasty chimichurri sauce. For the main courses, we had the costa D’Este paella. It was the best paella outside of our favorite one in Valencia. It was loaded with mussels, clams, bite size pieces of chicken and chorizo, shrimp along with two huge scallops over their perfectly cooked rice. For dessert, the vanilla gelato was beyond amazing and the flan was good. The service from Maddison was fabulous. She checked back with us several times. Our glasses of water never went below half. I wish all the wait staff was like her. The view of the ocean was fabulous. It is a great restaurant not to be missed in Vero.

Had our anniversary dinner there. From the ambience to the service and the food all were OUTSTANDING. I recommend the Paella and the lechon. The rice pudding dessert was also delicious.

I made the reservation and noted that it was a birthday celebration. It was never acknowledged or mentioned. That was a big disappointment. The restaurant was very noisy for a fine dining place. My cocktail came with a dried up fruit garnish. When I mentioned it, the waiter brought me a new garnish and apologized. The food was very good, but the bread & butter served first was bland and the spread was bit strange. The ceviche was exceptional! My dinner partner enjoyed the stew and the Ropa Vieja was wonderful. The meal was very good, but it wasn’t the birthday celebration I had planned.

Octopus Ceviche was great, Caesar was great. Skirt steak meal was excellent. Gloria's favorite-Pollo Asado, however, was definitely not my favorite. I am a degreed Culinarian/Chef, and I was expecting the chicken to be fall off the bone tender. It was so not done, so rubbery just like you don't want chicken to be when you go to a high-class restaurant. Very disappointed with my meal.

What a wonderful experience having diner at the Wave. We selected this restaurant for our anniversary because it has been consistently fantastic. From the moment we entered, staff was wonderful. For appitizers we had the black bean soup and the octopus with potatoes, olives, fennel, chorizo and a tasty chimichurri sauce. Fir the main course we had the seafood and meat paella. It was the best outside of Valencia that we have had. The paella was loaded with mussels, clams, bite size pieces of chicken and chorizo, shrimp, with two large scallops all over their perfectly cooked rice. For dessert, the vanilla gelato was absolutely outstanding. The flan was good. The service by Mayara was fantastic. Our water glasses never went down beyond half and she kept checking back to make sure everything was ok. The view was of the ocean and the American flag in the ocean. This is one of the best restaurants in all of Vero Beach. Don’t miss the opportunity to have lunch or dinner here.

10TH time dining here over an eight year time frame and The Wave continues to deliver great quality food at a favorable value. Octopus appetizer is amazing - the chorizo adds great flavor. The paella with seafood is tops - the rice cooked perfectly. Finishing with a delicious flan for dessert sends is the only way to go.
