    This was our second trip to Union Public but the food was not as good as the first time. I had salmon both times and the salmon was definitely not as good as the first time. The main difference was the veggies associated with the salmon. The last time the salmon was over a bed of black-eyed peas which went very well with the salmon fillet, this time it was over roasted cauliflower and snow peas with mandarin orange and what I guess was some kind of pork skins. The mandarin sections were used were like they were from a mandarin that was going bad. The seasoning used in the veggies did not go well with the dish. The lemongrass sauce was good with the salmon but there was not much of it. My wife had the Hangar steak which she said was OK but not nearly as good as pork dish she had the last time. The turnips with her hangar steak were too salty for her. Our waitress was very good and comped her a glass of wine when she told her the turnips were too salty. Desserts were very good.

    Everything was excellent...service, food atmosphere! Went for my husband's birthday and they had a card for him on the table with complementary drink. Such a personal touch!

    We loved the atmosphere and very attentive waitress. She gave us recommendations that were spot on. The pot times were yummy paired with the pork shank entree. Cocktail menu was eclectic, fun and diverse. We will definitely be back.

    Our server was exceptional! My friend and I went to UPH on a Saturday evening. We’d originally requested to eat outside, but it was a very windy evening and the hosts offered an inside table without any prompting from us. Our server asked if we had any dietary needs. Our party had both an allergy and a vegetarian. She made recommendations for apps and entrees - all with suggested modifications to suit our table. The meal and mocktails were incredible. My only regret is that we didn’t save room for dessert. Maybe next time!

    As always, everything was wonderful. However, my crispy pork shank was slightly over cooked. I’ve had it numerous times before and it seemed like maybe the grease was too hot or maybe it was clocked a little too long. It was just crispy it was HARD. But the flavor was on point as usual and my husband loved his scallops and the octopus appetizer.
