Not only can you get a juicy roast prime rib at The Parson"s Table, but you can eat it inside a church, too. The location remains very much the same structure that it was in 1885, when Little River Methodist Church was built. The cherished establishment first opened its church doors as a restaurant in the late 1970's and has been serving exquisite American steakhouse fare ever since. The restaurant's decor is positively Southern-charm antique, complete with dark wooden walls, stained glass windows and an original Tiffany glass lamp in the main dining room. An award winning wine list graces The Parson's Table as well as an outstanding fresh seafood selection.

Atmosphere is very nice. The crab soup and tuna as the appetizer was delicious. The special which was Barrel fish was crazy high priced. Higher than anything on the menu for a 4 oz piece of fish was $49.00. The price was not mention when ordered. Based on the menu prices, I guess it would be in one of those price ranges. I was treating my husband to a birthday dinner, so I didn't ask the price. The chicken dish with sun dried tomatoes was very tiny as it was a pounded chicken breast to a bout 1/4 inch thick and was very salty. I did not eat it and took it home, to see if I could make it into something else. The cornbread and salad was very good as well. If not for that I would have left still hungry. So for a meal of upwards of $200.00 which included 2 drinks was not impressive.

Unique restaurant with a quaint & special history. Nice ambiance-stained glass windows hanging, dark cedar wood panel walls.. beautiful except with an almost empty restaurant at 7pm, we were very disappointed to be sat in the back farthest room in a corner next to the gents toilet & stock room- there were at most 4 other reservations in the entire place. Food was very good/ not excellent- salad was average with alot of brown edged lettuce & hard white “root” end bits. I probably choose wrong- noted as a Seafood Restaurant, I selected the Scallops & Shrimp dish. Presentation was very nice but tasteless and overcooked . Good selection of appetizers- baked brie was excellent. Wine list was great and priced very well. Overall a nice night out, but fell short.

An excellent meal, prepared perfectly. The service by McKenzie was superb. The only slight downside was that the music was a tad too loud. At a table of 4, we needed to raise our voices to have a conversation.

We never miss the chance to come to Parson's Table when we are in the area. It's been 18 years since our first visit, and it has never disappointed. We started with fresh oysters that were large and succulent, followed by the special which was a cornbread crusted grouper with a bacon tomato jam and mustard sauce that was the perfect complement. We love the sweet potato and carrot side dish. We had a lovely Oregon pinot noir along with our meal. Our meal culminated with the New York style cheesecake!

Servings were large and everything was delicious! Had prime rib and it was requested medium rare. It came too rare and had to send it back to cook a little longer. It came back within five minutes and was perfect. The potatoes were roasted and seasoned well. My significant other had the seared tuna which filled his plate as the serving was huge. We shared an amaretto cheesecake which was very flavorful. Desserts were reasonably priced and portions were large. We also had cappuccino and sugar in the raw was available to stir in. They seemed to think of everything to make the meal extraordinary! Yes, we will be back to try other items on the menu. There are so many wonderful choices, I can’t wait to go back and try the seafood.
