    Lovely service and decor. The food was delicious and served at perfect temperature. Huge chandelier with bright mercury Vapor bulbs… way too bright. Had to ask for it to be dimmed for our “candlelight tea”. Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin era music on speaker system playing so loud we had to ask them to turn it down so we could relax and hear each other. Not relaxing or tearoom style music. A guest seated near us decided it was appropriate to take a phone call from a friend and put it on her speakerphone! She proceeded to have a loud and long conversation about her vacation, etc. We heard about horses and the Pope at top volume. We asked if staff could speak to her… then the manager came in, heard her on her loud call, and ask how they were doing. He did not mention that cell calls could be taken in the lobby, rather than in the Drawing Room! Usually the Prince of Wales is perfection. This was a bit embarrassing for me to host my out of town guest and have this happen.

    Usually my stars are 5 with positive attitude, however this was different. The scones were cold and not fresh, a bit dark. The croissant were dark and not fresh. The eggs were amazing. I'm very disappointed with the service yesterday. We will try this place one more time as we have been going here for a long time but if it's the same we will definitely not be going back.

    I recently visited Prince of Wales for high tea and unfortunately, my experience fell far below expectations. The service was poor, and the waitress seemed uninterested from the start. She barely interacted with us and only checked on our table once throughout the entire meal, which left us feeling neglected. Overall a good ambiance & great Xmas decor if you have never attended.

    Always love coming here each year. However, this is the first year they changed being able to come for just tea and scones. A little disappointed.

    The High Tea is disappointing. The sweets are very poor quality store-bought. Why don't they buy the sweets from one of the lovely bakeries in town? The sandwiches aren't fresh...tasted like it came out of the fridge.

    The decor is beautiful for high tea! The service was outstanding! They have changed the menu for lactose intolerant, was definitely an upgrade!! It was delicious! I definitely recommend it and will be going back again!
