    Starr restaurants are pretty uniformly great. My beef with The Dandelion on 12/24 was our table. On checking in, we requested an open table for 2 near the fireplace and we were told that it was held for a reservation 45 mins later. Fine. We were then taken to a table in the bar area that was too small and too tight for two adults. We were offered a high top, and let us say the stools were unstable (for adults anyway) and again the space was too tight. Going out to eat these days is costly enough; we left before ordering. We went across the street to The Love, which is one of Starr’s very best offerings and is a phenomenally well run and operated restaurant.

    Food was ok. No elevator to second floor. Hostess totally disinterested and despite the fact that the place was empty tried twice to seat us in terrible seats.

    Very nice place, would go again. Service was excellent and the house wine was very good. Unfortunately the bar seats were too busy as that’s were I choose

    We had come into Philly to enjoy some holiday shopping and I thought Dandelion would be a nice, cozy spot for lunch on a cold December day. It was perfect! We were shown to a lovely corner booth upstairs where every table was full, but the noise level was a non-issue. Bella proved to be a knowledgeable and professional server and had good suggestions regarding beverages and menu selections. I enjoyed the salmon pate and my husband's burger was terrific. It was the typical Stephen Starr restaurant experience: creative, authentic decor; well-trained professional staff; and great food.

    So a beautiful building. Atmosphere is so lovely for holiday festivities. Food always good but not worth what you pay but pay it for the charm of the place.

    Great spot with really cool Christmas decorations. Felt very cozy inside. The food was very good. We enjoyed the cashew hummus. I got the steak and chips and my partner got the lemon risotto.
