    Server was busy chatting with other servers and the manager while forgetting to put in our drink orders twice and barely cared about our table (e.g. we wanted sauces for our main dish but server didn’t come to check on our main dish until we were nearly finished) Pub burger was excellent but the English breakfast was sad and poor - somehow they found the world’s smallest portobello mushroom and tomato for my plate. Blood sausage was good but that was about it. Incredibly poor value and felt like a terrible waste of money.

    The ambience is wonderful. The food disappointing. Fryer could use an oil change and drinks packed with ice. Friendly service, but overall, meh.

    We enjoyed lunch in the bar at table near window away from crowd and noise. Food and service were excellent. Cozy atmosphere. We will definitely return for lunch in the future.

    Try the soup! I also had the poached eggs with bubble and squeak—fantastic! These with a pint of English ale set me up for the day. Happy New Year!
