About 5 years ago, we first visited Cottage. We hadn’t been back simply because it was so noisy you couldn’t have a conversation. We don’t tecall what day of the eeek we were there. We were delighted in our visit today,Sunday, as the music was not too loud and diners did not have to shout to be heard across the table. The soft lighting was perfect and the service was terrific. The food was so good, we’ve decided to return sometime soon!

Beautiful restaurant and excellent service but food was a little disappointing - lobster spaghetti and mushroom tortelloni were just okay - bordering on bland. Hard to find any lobster in the dish. Same with octopus appetizer- lots of potato, a few pieces of octopus.

We had two seats at the bar (thank you Cottage for taking reservations at the bar!) and wonderful service and conversation from Roger. Food was extraordinary. Deviled egg, hamachi crudo with Thai pepper and unbelievable squash filled pasta pockets, spaghetti with lobster and beautiful chicken. Pistachio Sunday and carrot cake. Everything was superb

We’ve dined at The Cottage a number of times and always enjoyed it. Tonight’s New Years Eve service was wonderful, the food, the service, the ambiance, really spot on. Thanks to the kitchen for the layers upon layers of flavor.

Barely any food or the amount of money. We use to be able to try a few appetizers however now they are 14+ a bite. We were very disappointed.

I would say 3.5 star. Between good and very good. It was good, food was good and service was certainly good. Its a cute restaurant, the name suits it. Chairs are simple wood and rather uncomfortable. Ambiance is nice but wouldn't see this as an upscale dining experience. Its rustic, hence the name. The menu is small and interesting, portions pretty small and not a spectacular presentation. As mentioned, i thought the food was good but not spectacular and not sure the price is justified but i guess it's westport. Wine is definitely overpriced. I'll probably be back but not a go-to.
