We were extremely excited to come back here after a wonderful experience last year when we were in town for a conference. We hyped it up to our friends and brought them with us to eat here tonight. We were disappointed that the ribeye and bone marrow butter entree we ordered last time was no longer on the menu, but thought because it was so good that whatever we ordered this time would be delicious as well. We waited a long time before a server even came to us. We asked the server about the steak frites entree and she did not have the answers to any of our questions (“what cut of steak is it?” “What size is the steak?”). We put in our drink and appetizer orders. The espresso martini came with zero espresso in it. Our appetizers took forever to come. When a food runner brought over our entrees, she couldn’t tell us which steak was cooked to what temperature so we had to guess whose entrees were whose. The fries were not even warm. The steak was tough/chewy despite being cooked to medium rare (it was supposed to be rare), so I don’t know what type of meat it was but it was most definitely not a ribeye. Even the filets were chewy. The waitress took forever to come check on us after we received our food. She refilled our waters once. The overall experience was extremely disappointing and completely overpriced for the quality of food. Will not be returning and do not recommend at all.

The food was very good. One of the top meals we’ve had since we arrived in Naples four months ago. We have visited many what were purported to be fine dining establishments here in Naples which turned out to be subpar in their execution of sauces, flavour combinations, and produced desserts which tasted purchased from a grocery store. In contrast, our meal at The Catch of the Pelican was spot on from appetizers to dessert. We took advantage of the Sizzle prefix dining menu and enjoyed our meal immensely. Everything tasted delicious and appeared to have been made in house. Our waiter, although busy, was engaging and attentive. We will definitely return.

Everything was fine but it took 25 minutes to get my check after we said we were ready. Waitress never stopped and asked if everything was fine or if we need anything. The prime rib had zero flavor au jus was dumped over top of it. IMO.... for the prices that we paid to eat and stay overnight you'd think you'd be treated a little like royalty, nonetheless, I could have stayed at a motel 6 and got the same level of service.

This was the first time our group of six had eaten at The Catch of the Pelican and it was a wonderful experience. We all ordered from the Sizzle Menu. Part of the group had roasted corn chowder with the grilled filet. The steak was tender enough to cut with a table knife and everyone who had the chowder raved about it. The remainder ordered the seared snapper and it, too, was delicious. In addition, Farmer Mike's Garden Salad and the Tuna Tartare were very well received. For dessert, five of the six had Death by Chocolate and LOVED it! I had the Citrus Sunshine Bar and it was very light and tasty. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

Erica was our server who was really nice! The food was awesome. I recommend the snapper. It was moist and flavorful. They had a fixed menu which was a great value. I’d recommend this place and eat here again.
