Open seven days a week, The Capital Grille is best known for our expertly prepared steaks, which are dry aged in house for 18 to 24 days and then hand-cut by our restaurant's on-premise butcher. The Capital Grille's wine list features more than 350 selections, and its floor-to-ceiling wine kiosk regularly houses 3,500 - 5,000 bottles. Reservations are recommended but not required.     I am a frequent Capital Grille diner and the Sarasota experience was very disappointing relative to the other locations I have dined at. The service was slow but good and the food was less than fine, all our food came cold and the steak was over cooked.

    Invited friends for dinner there and had a 6 Star experience. Bar experience was exceptional. Sal, Sean, Nic were friendly and drinks perfect. We loved the experience there then moved to boot in bar. Sean was our server and did outstanding job. Our food was amazing and the overall experience was better than 5 stars. It’s now our new favorite place for cocktails and fantastic service and food. Thanks to all the Team for a wonderful evening. Joe Angelo and Ann Jacobs

    My daughter’s first time at Capitol Grill and she raved about her filet! I asked for the ribeye to be done with the Kona crust finish w/shallot butter and it was excellent as well…

    This is my favorite restaurant. Everything about dining is great from the time you arrive. The employees are very friendly and helpful and the food is fantastic. You are never rushed. I always look forward to my visit.

    We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and his new job. Our server was Nancy and she was truly fantastic. The food was fabulous; I had the tuna and my husband had the rib eye sandwich. Besides the food, Nancy helped make our lunch even more special. We will be back again very soon.

    Burgers at the bar or steaks in the main dining room, Capital Grille is the single best restaurant in the UTC area of Lakewood Ranch. Service and food reign supreme!

    We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. Our server, Jon, was friendly, professional and offered recommendations that we really enjoyed. We had a variety of menu options. All if the steaks ordered were cooked as requested, and the scallops and lobster were prepared perfectly. We ordered appetizers as well. The tuna tartar was unbelievable, and the prosciutto wrapped mozzarella was delicious. We ordered two side dishes, garlic sautéed spinach and truffle fries. Both exceeded expectations. The wine list had many select wines, and the dirty martinis were top notch. We had decaf cappuccinos that were the perfect end to our meal. We decided we would definitely go back and would highly recommend it!
