Open seven days a week, The Capital Grille is best known for our expertly prepared steaks, which are dry aged in house for 18 to 24 days and then hand-cut by our restaurant's on-premise butcher. The Capital Grille's wine list features more than 350 selections, and its floor-to-ceiling wine kiosk regularly houses 3,500 - 5,000 bottles. Reservations are recommended but not required.     Overall, the steaks were very good and the side dishes, wine list, and appetizers were also extensive and impressive. The only significant issue is how the management handles misfires from the kitchen. We had ordered a steak mid-rare and received it well-done. After getting a re-fire from the kitchen, the sides had become cold after 20 minutes and the staff didn't handle the issue as expected. When receiving the bill, there were no discounted items and after questioning the staff about the decision, we learned the waiter had planned to ask the management but did not initially which seemed atypical. Considering the high reputation of the restaurant, these seemingly minor issues should be handled much more smoothly to improve the experience for the guests. The way this particular encounter was handled, it seemed that the staff are trained to only react if the customers voice a compliant instead of acting proactively on the matter to more actively acknowledge their error. We were fairly compensated at the end of the evening to give some credit to the restaurant management but the awkward steps in between do distract from the sincerity of the gesture.

    Awesome restaurant our server was amazing. She did a wonderful job helping us to choose what we wanted to eat and drink and she also took care of our two younger kids. She is really amazing.

    Although the service was very good, including the host, the food was very disappointing especially for the price. The Capital Grill has always been upscale with meals you can depend on. Not this visit to the Ft Lauderdale location. Unfortunately the scallops were tiny and overcooked and the risotto was pasty and overcooked. This was a $60 plate. The Au Gratin potatoes side dish had far too much breadcrumb topping which was very dry and cost $14. The crab cake appetizer was very good.

    Awesome service from Miguel as always! The seafood tower was perfect. My NY strip was perfectly cooked and delicious Overall excellent experience and highly recommend!
