   1st our waiter forgot to get us extra pumpernickel bread after asked by my husband. Then he forgot our Calamari order. We never got refills on water and tea until we asked three separate times from the same waiter. Lobster Mac and cheese was delivered with our meal however we didn’t order it. One out of the three filets was over cooked and not 10 ozs. We have been coming to Capital Grille but will not be back. The best part was the augraten potatoes. No longer recommend Capital Grille.

   This is not our first time for the Capital Grill and it certainly will not be the last. We have never been dissapointed with the service and quality of food at the Capital Grill in Charlotte. This was an anniversary dinner for us. They decorated the table with hearts and an anniversary card was waiting at the table. Our server, Denise, was extremely helpful and paced out the dinner perfectly. Dessert was on the house along with a rose for my wife. Granted, this might be a special occasioin restaurant, but you will get the same super service and food anytime you go. Highly recommend the Capital Grill in Charlotte.

   Capital Grille struggled last night, which they rarely do. We ordered a bone in filet cooked to medium, and it came out very rare so we sent it back. The sides ran late so we were sure they would hold them and bring everything at the same time to be warm but no the sides came and got cold as we waited for the steak. The steak came back, and it was still much closer to rare than medium but we are it anyway. I would think that a steak house like Capital would know how to properly cook a thick steak but not last night. Finally, our server completely forgot our warm hand towels after the app which isn’t that big of deal but just another miss. We’ll wait a while to go back. There’s lots of competition in Charlotte.

   Good experience. Wasn’t as good as other capital grills I’ve visited but ok. Food was kind of slow coming compared to other people who came in after us.

   This is our “go to” for special occasions and it never disappoints. Food, staff and ambiance are all superb.

    Seated right at reservation time. Food and service were outstanding. Rose for the wife and a small complimentary dessert were a nice touch. They knew it was our anniversary so would have liked a table that was a little more intimate. Seated us with a couple directly on each side of us. Not the end of the world. Nice experience. We’ll be back.
