   Didn’t want to go to a chain restaurant on our visit to Edinburgh so went on review sights and this had great reviews. Would definitely book a head as it was busy. Lovely tradition pub with home cooked food. You get big portions and good value and really friendly staff. Would definitely go back when visiting Edinburgh again and I would recommend

   Good food, good service and a pleasant atmosphere. Oh and sublime salted caramel cheesecake. Well worth a visit.

   We were shown to our table promptly, the servers were very helpful and friendly. The menu had lots of choices and the food was excellent. The desserts were delicious and the local beer was fab. Their whisky selection is also immense, with a helpful list and tasting guide on each table. My partner said this was the best meal of the trip! I will visit again.

    Great food as per usual! Fantastic staff restaurant is upstairs, it's nice and comfortable. Food is piping hot. It's our regular, so we usually take our guests there. It never disappoints.
