   We were really hoping the review we read was true and decided to take our son for his birthday. We have eaten at Fogo deChow, Gauchos deSol, and Avienos and Texas de Brazil was horrible. Salad bar was the only good thing and that was a stretch. As soon as you walked in, you can smell the sewer gas coming from women’s restrooms throughout the entire restaurant, the floors through out the restaurant were sticky, the non alcoholic beverage options are unsweet tea, coke, sprite, or limeade, the only beef options were skirt steak, filet, or picana and beef ribs. None of which tasted good-too salty, really gamey, or literally chewy and literally so sticky, it stuck to all your teeth. The cheese rolls we sent back 3 times because they were so hard you could knock them on the plate and they wouldn’t bend! We couldn’t see our plates because it was so dark and only lit by red lights on the ceiling. The service was very slow in getting any food brought by the table. Just a very disappointing experience all the way around. And we got there at 5:15, the restaurant opens at 5 so no excuse for dirty smelling restaurant or bad tasting food.

   We’ve been coming here for years and this is likely our last time. When we walked in,the place smelled like a bathroom. Staff confirmed they had some plumbing problem that they just got fixed. Luckily inside the restaurant, the stench wasn’t as bad. Food was underwhelming. Slow meat service, you get full on bread and salad. Wait staff seems slim for amount of tables. Most meats were under seasoned or too salty. Floors were super slippery. Had to walk our elderly parent to the salad bar, it felt that slippery. Wait staff blamed it on condensation… very disappointing experience all together.

   The food is always great here, it is my second time dining here. However, the floors are always dangerously slippery. My first visit I almost slipped wearing sandals, this last visit I wore shoes and my whole party experienced and mentioned the slippery floors, made it difficult to walk thru the salad bar thinking we’d slip and fall with our food in hand.

   This is our 3rd year celebrating Christmas with a dinner out at Texas de Brazil and I would say this is by far our worst experience. It wasn't a terrible experience, just worse than our previous times there. Our waiter was very pleasant when we first arrived but I don't know what happened, if another table didn't tip or what but he became very gruff, standoffish, and slow to check on our table or bring things (30 minutes for a basket of bread is excessive). The gauchos (serving the meat) circled our table but very rarely stopped. I understand they were busy but they were not packed, there were at least 6 - 7 empty large tables in the section next to ours. Contrast that to last year were the waiter came by every 4-5 minutes to check on us, the gauchos were constantly stopping to see if anyone wanted more meat, and the place seems a lot more crowded then.

   We have eaten at Texas do Brazil twice and both times the food was wonderful and the service was very attentive. This time was Christmas Day and it was a memorable occasion.

    Was a good experience, meat and sides were good. Little pricey when you add tea and desert with coffee.
