   For a Valentines Date it was a great atmosphere. Very intimate setting. I was seated with my date in the outside part of the restaurant so I got extremely lucky. However the proportions of the food were very SMALL to my liking. Especially the starters. I thought it was a joke when they brought out their tuna tacos it was bite size. I promise i’m a fit king however If you like to get your feast on this is NOT the place for that. Less food High cost type of vibe. Their speciality Valentine Day French Kiss cocktail wasn’t all that great. Smelled like perfume and for sure tasted like it too. Service was good but not great most likely due to how busy the establishment was on that day. Which is understandable. I would’ve like for them to open their entire menu rather than having just select dishes for valentines. Would’ve made the experience a bit better to try the dishes they’re known for. Their short rib and salmon plates saved the dinner by far the best thing they offered. I give it a cool 7/10 very generous rating.

   Wanted to try a new place for us and decided on Stock & Barrel for Valentines dinner. We were impressed with the set menu and options but where the food was elevated the service was not. We felt rushed and underwhelmed by the level of service for a $300 meal for 2. I chose the wine pairing with my meal and it literally showed up on the last bite. Not what I am used to when fine dining with that price tag. Hard to say if we will be back and it's a shame but with that price the experience should have been better much better.

   If you get past the unfortunate bouncer of a hostess, the food and service are well worth the experience. Make sure you make a reservation ahead of time. Even if there’s lots of seats open on Open Table. The hostess would not let me in otherwise. The food and cocktails were outstanding and pretty nice plating for such a busy place. Flavors are complex (in a great way, well balanced). I highly recommend

   The food was delicious and the service was great. Our server and the hostess were attentive and explained the menu items and specials well. Our favorites were the mussels & shrimp and the hanger steak. The desserts - chocolate mousse and bread pudding - were divine. We would definitely go again the next time we're in town.

   The server we had was kind and speedy. They are definitely busy and it’s a smaller venue do be sure to book a reservation ahead of time. We had the Brussels sprouts, short rib burger and the hanger steak frites. The Brussels sprouts were good but a little too salty. For reverence I am a salt lover so me saying that is a little overload. I think it was just a bit too much soy sauce but besides that they were good. Perfect texture and I’m sure if I had complained they would have replaced them. I just wasn’t too upset about it. Now the steak and burger! AMAZING! I will go back just for that steak alone and it’s fairly priced too! Only $29. I forgot to mention, their old fashion! Equally amazing as the steak. Perfect balance of sweetness, whiskey and smoke. All flavors equally there and none over powering. We will be back soon. I’m hoping they will have the short rib empanadas again because we just missed them but I know they had to be just as amazing as the burger was.

    Our favorite spot for a night out. The food is always delicious. And save room for the chocolate mousse (table side!).
