St. Elmo Steak House has been a landmark in downtown Indianapolis since 1902. It is one of the oldest Indiana restaurants in its original location & has earned a national reputation for its excellent steaks, seafood, chops & professional service. Try our famous St. Elmo Shrimp Cocktail followed by a dry-aged USDA Prime Steak. We happily accommodate special requests; please call the restaurant directly. All reservations will be held for 15 minutes. Indy's best steakhouse!

    The staff was good; our waiter was attentive and very prompt. but the food was very disappointing. the steak was extremely salty and not very tasty. I probably would give it another shot, but not for important events, like birthdays

    Friendly staff and service was excellent from the time we pulled up to valet until we left. Food was great and steaks cooked perfectly. Desert was amazing (cheese cake and Bourbon cake).

    Server was nice but was gone for decent stretches. I’ve been to many steakhouses but this was more expensive than most and we were squeezed between tables. Now I can I’ve been there, would try something else the next time in town.
