Select Oyster Bar, the first solo venture from chef Michael Serpa, is a neighborhood oyster bar & seafood restaurant in the heart of Back Bay. Select offers fresh, local seafood with Mediterranean influences in a cozy brownstone space. A carefully curated raw bar, creative crudo, and thoughtful fish entrees round out the menu. A seafood centric wine program feature classic pairings as well as off the beaten path selections is the center of the beverage program, alongside artisan cocktails and craft beer.

Amazing food and great service! We enjoyed Island Creek oysters, the Sardine toast starter and dinners of Halibut and Arctic Char. Paired with the Chablis it was a taste sensation! Fun and lively atmosphere. We were seated at the bar which was fun but could be a little too cozy at times when folks needed to move around or pass behind the bar. Would go again!

We had a wonderful meal at the bar with Bill. We loved the lobster chowder special and would love to see it as a permanent menu choice! We love Select and the entire staff ; John, Stephanie, Elizabeth have all provided excellent service.

Early dinner at the bar. Excellent selection of wine btg to accompany a dozen shucked-to-order oysters. Dinner (shared between two): beet salad, and, rare to find at an oyster bar but don’t think twice: grilled boneless ribeye over roasted fingerling potatoes, blue cheese, a generous green salad. Overall: Bar service: knowledgeable, professional, awesome. Food: simply prepared, fresh ingredients of the highest quality (ex: Savenor beef) In short: a neighborhood gem.
