In 2004, The Coup opened its doors to Calgary and surrounding areas with the desire to provide a modern vegetarian restaurant to the community. Since then we have been dedicated to delivering a vibrant atmosphere and creative vegetarian fare. Our products have been selected based on a deep desire to support local, make everything from scratch, and celebrate the community we are in.

Our bar program has a strong cocktail focus, with great partners who have aligned ethical and ecologically sustainable practices. We focus on local brewers and distillers, and strive to curate a cocktail menu that focuses on ingredients that are local, flavourful, and unique. We strongly believe that the experience of dining, or enjoying cocktails isn’t only for those who drink alcohol. As such, all of our cocktails are available in a non-alcoholic format, as well as a large compliment of other zero-proof offerings.

We attended the coupe for our Christmas party. Our server took over the planning and meal picking and sent us his fav dishes and made sure we had enough to feed all. It was an amazing meal, and we felt well taken care of. 10/10

If you are eating keto, you will love this place. It is one price ($65 each, I believe) for all you can eat meat, cooked like Brazilian BBQ, along with some very nice salads and other sides. I enjoyed everything I ate, and we ate a lot! It is a hurried experience, as the hot swords of meat are rushed from table to table so that you receive the meat hot. And you get a small portion each time so that you can enjoy the variety. It is a different dining experience but worth a try.

A small retro diner space with a big personality. Pull up a barstool, but get here fast - there's only 45 of them! Eddie loves burgers more than most, and just as much as you. Alberta beef is his favorite, washed down with a milkshake. Our server, Reece was great! So pleasant and prompt. We were there for a ‘holiday’ get together and she was super patient as we hadn’t seen each other for a while and hadn’t even looked at the menu. She gave her recommendations and let us move at our own pace. When we needed anything (like a group picture) she was great there too.

everything was good. There was a misunderstanding on sides. There was a recent change, you used to get rice and beans with the fajitas, but now you only get rice. One couple asked for beans. We said we were happy with just the rice. We both got, and were charged for an extra bowl of rice. Neither of us wanted that

This was my first time going to milpa. And it was absolutely an amazing experience from the cocktails, Appies, dinner and dessert. We booked there for one of my best friends 30th bday. It was amazing! I would 100% go back with my husband and 10 yr old daughter! Delicious!
