ELEM is a new restaurant and cocktail lab on Main + 5th.

Guests can expect to indulge in Top Chef Canada alum Mayekar’s bold cooking, featuring creative flavour-packed dishes that highlight the unique spices from cuisines around the world with local ingredients, alongside Winnie Sun’s inventive, element-inspired and sustainability-driven cocktails.

ELEM’s food menu is an exploration of flavours and spices from all corners of the world, including Bangkok, California, Spain, Mexico, Italy, and Mumbai – all inspired by Mayekar’s extensive travels and Indian heritage. There will also be a big focus on local BC-grown ingredients.

The 2,946 square foot, 76-seat space was designed by Vancouver-based Marko Simcich Architect and features three dining spaces and an open window into the kitchen to see the chefs at work.

We went to Skye Lounge for Happy Hour, ordered tacos, they were good, but not much beef in them. Had the truffle fries, they were really good. Great service, and ambiance. I would go back.

Overall experience was excellent given location of restaurant with beautiful views of Inn-Harbour. Aura would benefit if presenting more options for vegetarian dishes.

Opened in 1986 by Uli Blume, it was one of White Rock's original waterfront restaurants and quickly became a favourite among locals for its great food and friendly atmosphere. Uli's son Tyson took over operations in 2008 and he picked up right where his father left off – providing the White Rock waterfront with a fun and relaxed place to enjoy a vibrant atmosphere, stunning water views, refreshingly simple food, an extensive international beer list, and a diverse selection of wines. I booked a table for 2 for lunch for my hunny’s birthday…they set up a nice table with a view in a more private area, a complimentary glass of bubbles for each of us was waiting at our table! 🥂 Thank you for the amazing service & food as always … the fisherman’s hot pot (coconut curry broth) is to die for!! 🤩🤤
