A converted industrial building along Kreuzbergs canal is home of SPINDLER, a gourmet experience in Berlin's most legendary district. The kitchen is modern European with a french accent. Well cooked from market fresh products, with ingredients sourced as regional as possible. You find best dry aged steaks, wild caught fish and creative dishes for vegetarians. The menu is seasonal and changes in irregular intervals. If you like to eat in an relaxed bohemian atmosphere, SPINDLER is the right choice for you. There is also the cocktailbar and a nice range of french and german wines.

Über den Marktplatz, ein paar Stufen runter, direkt an der Spree versteckt sich das Katerschmaus. Vor Anker festgemacht ist die wie ein Dampfer anmutende Bar das Zentrum des Restaurants. Dann geht’s in die edel ausgestattete Stoffklasse oder etwas rustikaler in unsere Holzklasse - Blick auf das Wasser inklusive. Dahoam Wir verstehen uns nicht in erster Linie als Restaurant, sondern als Gast-Haus. In unserem Haus kann sich der Gast so wohl fühlen wie daheim und so gut speisen wie in Mutters Küche. Kaum ein Berliner, der uns nicht kennt. Kaum ein Gast, der nicht gerne immer wiederkommt - seit bald 20 Jahren. Denn wir sind eine Oase österreichischen Wohllebens inmitten preußischer Askese. Wir haben uns in den Kopf gesetzt, für Essen Zeit aufzuwenden, bei der Zubereitung wie beim Verzehr. Bei uns wird noch kompromisslos mit der Hand gekocht, nach den klassischen alpenländischen Rezepten. Schmeckt hier ein Schnitzel noch nach echter Butter? Eine Rindssuppe noch nach Rind? Ein Semmelknödel wie aus Omas Kochtopf? Dreimal Ja. Und auf einen edlen Tropfen Wein direkt vom österreichischen Winzer nicht verzichten. Essen Sie sich bei uns rund, satt und glücklich, frei nach dem Motto von Winston Churchill: Man soll dem Leib etwas Gutes bieten, damit die Seele Lust hat, darin zu wohnen.

Excellent all around. Food and presentation was perfect. I had the trout, which was as fresh as can be. My husband had the deer stew, which was also delicious. Would definitely dine here again!

Anima is for everybody. It is a place where you'll be able to meet friends for coffee, wine, or cocktails and some food — all of that within the sound experience. You'll be able to listen to a wide range of music on our customized Hi-Fi sound system built by our friend "H.A.N.D.hifi", based in Berlin. (Our mixer was also built here in Berlin by a company called "Resor"; it was important for us to work with locals for this process).

We had a great time. Got seated in a really nice spot. Loved the atmosphere. Food was very tasty. Would have expected slightly bigger portions. The service did not match the quality of the food. We had one woman with darker hair who was excellent and knew her way around wines and the food and one other woman who did not understands englisch that well (but didn‘t speak german either) and didn’t know about the food. That was unfortunate because otherwise it would have been more fun!

Was there for a date. It was amazing ambience, outdoor sitting was great with a beautiful garden.We had food and wine.Food was average. But the hospitality was great. We stayed there for long and had great time.Will definitely visit again.Highly recommended:)
