   Houston, Tx. Ruth’s Chris—-Food was good but service leaves much to be desired. Server forgot to put order in for appetizers even after I asked about them. Entrees came out and when we asked about appetizers he acted surprised that we never had them when he forgot to put them in. Did not try to accommodate at all. Said next time we come in appetizers on him. No thanks. I won’t be back! He could have handled that so much better. Place was empty for a Friday night so can not put it on being busy. When you pay top tier for food you should get top tier service. This missed the mark!

   We had dinner on NYE and this was our first time to this particular location. First of all, the main dining room is beautiful and features floor to ceiling windows all the way around. The service was extremely good and the food was amazing. We started with the small seafood tower and everything was fresh and delicious. For entrees, we had the 16 oz bone-in filet and it was as good as I have had anywhere. The creamed spinach was outstanding as well. Our server threw in an incredible cheesecake at no charge. I would recommend ordering drinks directly at the bar though. The old fashioned that I had initially at the bar was fantastic and served with a cube which is the way it should be. The next one, ordered at the table, was different, but the overall experience was still very good. We will definitely return to this location when in Houston.

   We patron this restaurant on special occasions and my husband comes here often to enjoy his favorite cowboy ribeye and Brussels sprouts. Today was my birthday. I made a reservation and specifically asked for a booth in the bar area (we have set at this same table a few times before) because I have a two year old and didn’t want to disturbed anyone that may have wanted a more intimate dinner. The hostess, I believe that her name was Amelia,must have not read the note that I put in my reservation and was about to walk us to the main dining area. I stopped her and reminded her of the area that we asked for in our reservation. When I addressed her of the request she became upset and took us to the requested table reluctantly. She didn’t speak to us on the way to the table and failed to remove the extra silver rolls and tableware from the table, as we were a party of 3. She didn’t even hand us the menus. She just laid them on the table and didn’t respond to us telling her thank you. She even ignored my to year old trying to thank her. No smile or anything. Rude id what she was. Her attitude was not pleasant. My husband had to tell the waiter that it was my birthday as it was not told to him by the hostess. Our experience was made better by our water Rey. He was very kind and accommodating. If it wasn’t for his kind demeanor the rating would have been quite lower. Also the food was great as always. I probably won’t return because the hostess is the first point of contact which sets the tone for the restaurant. She didn’t make my family feel very welcomed.

    Excellent old school steakhouse in an updated environment. Our waiter Maurice was excellent!
