   Food was excellent. Prepared exactly as I ordered. Service staff were attentive and on top of our needs without being asked. Food was hot and tasty. This location is our favorite as it is always consistent!! The whole staff from hostesses, assistants, wait staff & of course the chef and their assistants deserve a big thanks for treating us like family and working on a holiday !!

   It was our first time having Thanksgiving dinner there, and we were thoroughly impressed. The food was absolutely fantastic, from the turkey and mashed potatoes to the creamed spinach, grilled Brussels sprouts, and the cheesecake—it was all exceptional. The service was outstanding, making the experience even better!

   Our servicer, Rogelio, was outstanding. Attentive, welcoming and friendly. Ashley has done an awesome job of managing this gem of a restaurant.

   Our Thanksgiving 2024 dinner at Ruth’s Chris, La Cantera was arguably the most disappointing and poor quality restaurant meal my wife and I have ever had! Having experienced many eating establishments from fine dining to street food all over the world we can honestly say we have never had an experience quite as awful as this, especially considering the price point. I realize that R. Chris Steakhouse features steak and we had ordered the holiday turkey set meal, but gee whiz, it was after all Thanksgiving and we thought we would certainly be getting a ROAST turkey. However I don’t think we were ever able to ascertain just how it was prepared. A senior member of the wait staff did confess that the turkey was not from a whole bird but only turkey breast was on the menu. The sides and dessert were not much better. It was difficult to find any pumpkin in the very dry pumpkin cheesecake - there was a lot of crust though. My Dad used to have a thing about preparing a boiled turkey breast that no one else in the family would touch. The whole experience was much like that - very memorable for all the wrong reasons. Oh. When we did mention to our server that the turkey was rubbery and bland (we only ate about one third of it) he removed my wife’s $14 glass of wine from our tab. I guess we can say thanks for that.

   We decided to go out this Thanksgiving and we were very impressed with the food, service and ambiance. The staff was very attentive and made the experience more than we expected. We all selected the Thanksgiving prefix menu. Thank you Ruth’s Chris La Cantera for making our holiday meal out such a pleasant experience.

   Always a wonderful experience. You can’t beat the ambience or food at the Elan location.
