Born out of our love of fine wines and traditional food, Ristorante Saraceno Italian/Napoletana style cuisine has become the premiere location for fine dining in Boston’s Historic North End. After traveling the Italian regions and sampling different cuisines, we decided to make our way back home and bring Napoli’s best to Boston. Our biggest challenge was finding the right, high-quality ingredients for the dishes we wanted to serve. We are dedicated to offering only the finest and freshest foods. We have also taken great care in assembling a team of only the best chefs and experienced kitchen and dining staff. Come and taste the experience yourself.

                                                          The upstairs dining room was very nice, but we were seated downstairs, literally in the basement. The mood was set to make you feel like you were in Italy, but we could not get past the overall look and musty smell of being in the basement. We went through a maze of rooms and tables before being seated. Personally, my first thought was that this is a fire hazard. The appetizers were delicious, main courses, not so much. The service could have been much better, too. We joked that we were in the forgotten room. Never had water refilled, and our waiter never checked on us after the meal was served. The table next to us had 2 meals that never came, and their waiter never checked on them, so we had our waiter get their waiter for them. The rest of their party had finished before they even received their meals. Maybe we would have had a better experience had we not been in the basement, who knows. Just be prepared that you, too, might end up in the basement instead of the main dining room.

                                                          This was the best Italian food we have ever had. The veal piccata was delicious and tender. Pasta bolognese meaty and well seasoned. Spaghetti very nice as well. The owner took special care to seat us on the main floor as requested. We loved this place!
