My friend and I just arrived and went straight to Restaurant Martin based on reviews. One of our favorite meals of all time. The table next to our commented on the excellent special, berramundi fish prepared grilled with sunchocks and eggplant. We decided to both order the special. It was incredible. Based on how excellent this dish is, I am certain most items on the menu will also be exceptional.

Great food and excellent service. We brought four local friends who have been wanting to go and they were thrilled with all of the food. Three of us ordered the vegetarian tasting menu which was superb. Many thanks for preparing enchanting food for vegetarians who frequently get overlooked at restaurants. The service was also exceptional, as always.

This simply MUST be on your Santa Fe to-do! Go for three courses, get your Somm server to recommend a wine, and savor every minute of this truly fine dining experience.

Food it use to be wonderful! It was one of my favorite restaurant. No idea what happened, maybe they have a new chef. Chicken was uncooked, chewy. The same was the crunchy mushrooms with peanut sauce. Our waitress she was never around, very poor service. We will never repeat the experience again!

Really Charoline? I checked in with you and Seleste checked in with you because you hadn't finished your meal and you said everything was great. Why didn't you let us know when we checked in with you so we could have done something so that you enjoyed your meal? We would have happily replaced the dish for you or cooked you another. You split an entree with your partner but we we could have offered you something you would have enjoyed more. Please, let a restaurant know so we can do something about it. Writing about it online after the fact makes it too late for us to make sure you enjoyed your dining experience which of course would have been our main goal.

Restaurant Martin continues to be an underrated gem in Santa Fe. It should always be mentioned along the best in town. We had the short rib appetizer (so good) then the duck and barramundi special. Everything was lovely. Service was sharp, clean, and professional. Truly enjoyed our experience. It was a treat

Looks interesting from the outside but completely disappointing once inside. No imagination, character, or creativity. We were seated facing the door to the bar with bright tacky lights. We were largely ignored for 10 minutes until the “manager” approached to say our server was busy “putting in a larger order” so what would we like to drink. We then saw our server making our martinis. No Grey Goose, just local distillers. Finally we got to meet our server. We ordered the short rib starter, mediocre at best. No flavor, just meat and uninspired sauce on mashed potatoes. We ordered the “Scottish” salmon, which the only thing Scottish may have been the word “Scottish” on the frozen fish box. We were celebrating our 38th anniversary, which was known from my making the reservation, but no complimentary glass of bubbly, no anniversary dessert taste, nothing. We were not impressed, and absolutely nothing was good enough to return. We had heard the Executive Chef/owner had been around for 40 years, and it showed. Tired old menus, probably frozen food cooked in a microwave. And NO memorable customer experience. Forget this place. You’ll thank me.

Good quality ingredients skillfully combined. Nice presentation. Flavor was flat for every course - seemed to be lacking something. I actually asked for salt and pepper, which you should not have to do at a good restaurant. Portion sizes were small - after three courses with bread (additional charge) we were certainly not over-full and we were thinking of a snack when we got home. Service was friendly and attentive. Room is dated and a bit drab. Rather expensive for the dining experience we had.
