- SStephanieVIPLas Vegas •10 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoPowder room is just stunning! It is absolutely one of the prettiest speakeasies I have been to in Austin, I was floored by the decor. The staff was also fabulous - Siobhan was my waitress and she was gorgeous, friendly, and gave great drink recs! Overall I would absolutely rec a visit to powder room; despite the “no phone” policy (they literally take your phone when you arrive and put it in a locker lol) it’s an excellent experience, and the drinks are super fun. A must visit!!More infoPowder RoomPrice: Expensive• Speakeasy• Downtown•4.5
- JJohnAustin •2 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoMy wife and I had our anniversary dinner at Perry's on Jan 29. We used the senior menu to keep the portion size down, but we still had food left over to take home. My wife had the salmon and I had the pork chop. Both dishes, the salads, and sides met our expectations - absolutely delicious. (I can't wait to reheat the rest of my pork chop - the sauce, spices, and homemade applesauce are incredible). Our waiter was attentive to our needs throughout the meal, and the manager stopped by to chat and congratulate us on our anniversary. This was our second visit to Perry's Downtown, and I'm sure there will be more.More infoPerry's Steakhouse & Grille - Downtown AustinPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Downtown•4.6

Discover Austin
As Texas' state capital and center of culture, Austin has thriving arts and music scene that attracts millions of visitors a year. Austin also boasts a wide array of cuisine choices. If you have a craving, chances are good that you can get it sated here. You might not expect to find Hawaiian fare in the heart of Texas, but you can savor a chicken katsu spread over a bed of white rice and macaroni and garnished with carrot and cilantro. Elsewhere, you can order the Ethiopian national dish. This spicy chicken stew is slow-simmered in berbere sauce and served with several hard-boiled eggs. No trip to Texas is complete without sampling the barbecue, and Austin has numerous eateries serving up smoked ribs, brisket, pork and homemade sausage. Bring an appetite when you come to Austin.
