   The food was quite good, although there was a very big gap between first and second courses, they were extremely busy so that’s somewhat understandable. The staff/hostess/sommelier were all really nice and helpful. The very big, probably defining problem was the extreme noise level. In order to communicate with each other we had to almost have our noses touching. With the small tables very close together and the fact that it’s super popular right now (almost impossible to get a reservation between 6:00 and 7:30) makes for a very loud din. We really wanted to like this place and will try again when hopefully it’s not as crazy.

   The food was generally excellent and different than most NYC French restaurants. The salmon was excellent, and the pasta (in a pesto sauce) was also top-notch. The only knock was the ratatouille, which had way too much garlic and the pumpkin was undercooked. The waiter knew the entire menu and the wines/drinks and was quite helpful in making our selections. The small room was quite lively, although on a cold night do not sit near the front door. Overall, a great addition to the West Village scene.

   Loved Zimmi’s! I went for dinner with my mother on a Sunday night, food was amazing and the servers were all so attentive. We both received amazing wine recommendations and absolutely loved our time there. Our favorites were the mussels and the pesto pasta.

   Another wonderful meal, with a team who work together in a way that makes one feel they are happy to be there, not just for the guests, but for each other. Our server, Dan, was great, and remembered us from our last visit. An eclectic wine list, including a wide range of choices by the glass. Highlights of the meal included the lamb stew, the pesto pasta, and the pork collar. And the vanilla ice cream was wonderful.

   Excellent service and the staff was very attentive. Great wine by the glass suggestion from our server. Sorry to say the food fell flat. Oysters with frozen Mignonette sauce did not work. Tasted like we were eating a half frozen oyster. Pesto pasta was good but not good enough to get us to come back. Salmon was bland and totally uninspiring. Too bad we were really looking forward to a great new restaurant in the West Village.

   Very solid. Food is generally delicious. Wine program definitely punches above its weight with many cool selection. It's a very cozy west village vibe. The overall bill seemed a touch steep (my wine selections didn't help). Early days for this restaurant and I suspect it will only get better.
