   This used to be one of our top favorite places for drinks and dinner but everything just seems slightly different now. The potato salad was the best I ever had but has been changed slightly and now is just good and not great. Tempura is not as crispy and perfect anymore, soba smells like it was cooked in tap water and not filtered water now. Just overall something changed in the kitchen. No big welcome when coming in and leaving anymore as well. Still ok to good but not great anymore unfortunately.

   Everything was great. Food came out fast. Everything was delicious. Our server was nice and made some great suggestions. I just wish she came by a little more often. Overall 10/10 I highly recommend. Flavors and freshness of the fish were amazing.

   As a Hawaiian Japanese restaurant, it was very delicious. I had oboro tofu, tuna katsu, vegetable tempura, and sashimi. The salmon sashimi was rich and flavorful, with a good amount of fat. Each slice was about twice as thick as what you'd find in Japan. The price was a bit high, which is understandable given the weak yen.

   Interesting and tasty Japanese dishes that were great for a dinner meal. A good variety of beverages to choose from and very good service.

   Great food and attentive service. Best of all, one of the less touristy spots. I will definitely come back on my next visit to Oahu.

   Bad experience. Booked early for Thanksgiving Dinner in Hawaii. Arrived on time. We were put in what looked like an added on crampeda spot in the back with babies while others who walked in were in a pleasant outdoor area. Hostess nastilly argued that we didn’t sign up for that area but it was BS because there wasn’t a place to request that online. Waitress was nice but we felt like the staff thought we were the problem. Extreme bummer

    I read all of the reviews before choosing Zigu. All reviews were raving about it. They were right!! It is a hidden gem in Waikiki!!! The sushi was melt in your mouth. We will return!
