   Here for my birthday week and have loads of favorite restaurants, but I chose Yolan for my birthday dinner because it’s just that good. Great service, food, and ambiance.

   The experience was “fine” but we won’t be rushing back. House-provided sparkling water was flat (so we ordered the San Pelligrino af a cost). Our pasta came while we were still eating our appetizer. Then there was a long wait to the entree. Waiter seemed a bit lost/overwhelmed. Food was good but the experience missed the mark.

   Overall we enjoyed our meal at Yolan. Having not dined here before we were a bit nervous given some recent reviews on google but we stuck with our plans and were happy with that decision! All of the food arrived to the table hot and with explanations of each dish. The pasta dishes did cool off quickly, bur we can’t hold that against the kitchen. The lobster risotto was my personal favorite and my partner’s was the duck dish. The only course we didn’t like was the bread service as the bread texture was a bit gummy. We skipped dessert as nothing really appealed to us. Our server made herself present a reasonable amount, but I wouldn’t describe her as the most friendly server I’ve ever had. Restaurant ambiance was confusing, decor and furniture choices didn’t feel like a restaurant and definitely felt like you were in a hotel.

   Lovely staff, great waitress. The mercato was the best salad my bestfriend and I have had—not exaggerating. Our waitress suggested the white wine we had which was also great. The main dish themselves weren’t worth the price and extremely small servings. I got the risotto and my bestfriend got the seafood spaghetti—we’ve both had better. Overall, it was a nice place but main dishes need to improve to match the price point.
