   Fantastic dining experience. The restaurant is so calm and welcoming. The food is absolutely amazing and the service is exceptional. Loved every moment and highly recommend.

   On the expensive side for Japanese. Forgot that it was fine dining when I booked it. But everything we ordered were delicious. Chicken broth ramen, sashimi, Yakitori don, grilled edamame etc.

   It was second time dinning in at Yakikami and it was quite disappointing in term of the service which resulted the whole experience. The waiter didn’t know what were on the menu as I assumed that she is still in training. When I asked her what were the options in the chef choices skewers, she just laughed and said she didn’t know. I thought it wasn’t okay for a fine dining restaurant. The foods weren’t bad! I would say sashimi was very fresh! However, it didn’t give me a wow moment like last time. I would expect it! Overall, it was very disappointing and I don’t think I would recommend or come back to Yakikami next time.

   It was honestly a very good overall experience, however I did feel we got the worst seats at yakitori counter. And the service took longer to get to us as well on a Monday night. But the whole venue and food was outstanding, very cool atmosphere.

    Visited with my partner and we went with the omikase menu, which did not disappoint. We were able to sample a variety of dishes and have a taste of the yakitori experience that you would get in Japan. Would recommend for those who want the same experience. Staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. Will definitely come again when we visit Melbourne again.
