   We finally made it to Xiquita after moving away from the uptown neighborhood last fall, and we can't believe we waited this long! Everything was absolutely 5 stars. The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented and packed with so much flavor. The cocktail and wine list was spot-on—curated perfectly to suit our tastes and elevate the evening. Our server, Dylan, truly made the experience unforgettable. He was informative, friendly, and so much fun, making us feel right at home. The ambiance is simply gorgeous—filled with lush plants, soft traditional music playing in the background, and the noise level was just perfect for a relaxed yet vibrant dining experience. If you visit, don't miss the carne asada “grandes” entree—it’s a must-try! And definitely save room for the sweet corn bread dessert; it’s the perfect end to a fantastic meal. We’ll definitely be back whenever we have another evening to be wowed!

   I really enjoyed Xiquita. It’s an authentic approach to Mexican food and that was apparent throughout the whole experience. We also met the owner and he explained the founding story and his passion behind starting it. That really made the experience. The mole and the ceviche were fire.

   Amazing experience in the traditional tastes and updates on recipes of Mexico. The preparation and sauces were exquisite and unique. I cannot think of another restaurant like it. Even what you might think would be simple dishes, like carrots in mole or a tamale in another type of mole, were complex and outstanding. And the prickly pear sorbet over cubes of aloe should not be missed.

   A wonderful option for flavorful CDMX style food. Not heavy like Tex Mex (which I grew up eating in Texas), but creative and well spiced. We shared the small plates: green mole carrots, Ceviche, and tostados with various salsas, all delicious. My favorite was the grilled Yelowtail entre--expensive to be sure, but plenty for two to share. Our server cheerfully accommodated some dietary restrictions and made great NA drink suggestions. We will be back.

   This was our first visit to Xiquita, but certainly will not be our last. The food is thoughtfully prepared, beautiful to look at, and exquisite to eat. I will have dreams about the masa, I’m sure. Chef Erasamo came to our table and shared with us a history lesson on corn and his heritage. His passion and care for his dishes was palpable and inspiring. Our server, Dylan, was attentive, knowledgeable, and was a joy. We felt to trust him with the meal and the dishes that he brought to us were beyond delicious. Some challenged our palates, some excited our minds, and some comforted our souls. We left happy and fulfilled and already planning our return.

   Highly recommend this lovely restaurant. The food is inspired - truly celebrating Mexico's amazing cuisine, which is varied and rich. Cocktail: the martini sucia with cilantro infused vermouth. Taco (MASA) de Pato and Huarache were excellent. Wine list is small but curated. Go! You will not be disappointed.

    Xiquita is a real treasure! The cuisine is reminiscent of Oaxaca, Mexico, but recreated in an imaginative way with ingredients and textures carefully prepared and beautifully presented, often with a garnish of tiny marigolds. The chefs, Erasmo and Renee, brought our small plates to the table, explaining the food and its origins. They take such an infectious pride in their creations, and, as a result, our experience was all the more joyful. By night’s end, we had made a list of all the friends we plan to bring to Xiquita. A great pleasure.
