   Wondered why they had availability late in the afternoon for a Saturday dinner reservation during the high season??? Clearly it is because of their inadequate service. Could write a few paragraphs about the poor service, but everyone has experienced it. Save yourself the frustration...not worth the trip.

   A side on my dish was cold. It was kind of a weird potato thing. I don’t know that it would have been better hot, but I left it on the plate anyway. My date had the bacon wrapped meatloaf. It was just ok. She didn’t much care for the BBQ sauce flavor.

   I know it is a chain, but it it is an absolutely superior restaurant. Hit all cylinders. Food was fantastic—crab cakes outstanding, two delicious salads and a wonderful wild mushroom pizza.

   The food was delicious! We had the bread tray and the crab cakes for appetizers. I was expecting a hot loaf of sliced bread and instead it was a charcuterie board-like presentation of sliced rustic breads and dipping sauces! A creative and beautiful presentation! My husband had a smoked old fashioned cocktail. I had the grouper with the forbidden rice and faro with succotash vegetables and it tasty. My husband had the pork schnitzel and loved it. Nice atmosphere, wonderful waiter and yummy food!

   Food was Ok not exceptional considering the price and quantity. After being seated it was around 15 min before server came to take drink order Took about 15 min to get said drinks. Food took almost 30 minutes to arrive. Server only came by 1 time before we finished our meal to see if we needed refills etc. I'm willing to chaulk this up to a staffing shortage issue as visits in the past have been much better.

   This was our 5th or 6th visit. Up until now, we've always been pleased. However, this visit was very disappointing. There were 6 of us, and at least 4 complained that their food was cold. Also, the service was quite slow. The fire alarm went off in the middle of dinner. We were told this was a very unusual event, although the fact that none of the staff reacted to it seemed to indicate otherwise. One of the bottles of wine we ordered was incorrectly marked at too low a price, although the waitress agreed to only have us charged at the advertised price.

    Food was great but the cucumber salad could have used a little salt (Personal preference). Waitress brought me these huge wooden grinders that felt so out of place it seemed like a Saturday Night Live Comedy sketch. Plus they didn’t work very well. For such a wonderful place with some of the best food in The Villages, you would think they could provide salt and pepper in mills that worked well and fit in with the decor. Waitress said that orders from “Above” got rid of the little tiny glass shakers they were using. Seems like a bad decision that takes away from the food quality and ruins the decor and the ambiance.
