    Neither the wine steward nor the wait staff understood anything about the available wines. I ordered the shrimp and grits (second time I have been there and ordered it) and although very good the first time, the grits were soupy this time.

    My wife and I go to Wildwood weekly, usually for the Tuesday special of two complete dinners for $25. While the menu for the special is limited, all four choices are excellent. My wife is happy to have the pecan-crusted almost every time, but I have tried them all. The mashed potatoes are extraordinary - the best I've had anywhere. This visit we decided to try the steaks. We each ordered the filet for $37. It was easily comparable - perhaps even larger - than similar steaks costing more than $50 at high-end steak restaurants. The service is prompt, but not rushed, and the waiters are knowledgeable and friendly without being intrusive. Altogether, it is a delightful experience every time we go.

    The staff at Wildwood knew we were celebrating our anniversary and made it so special for us! They were so kind and congratulatory and thanked us for sharing our special day with them and even gave us a complimentary dessert. The peacan crusted chicken remains my favorite dish here. The espresso martini was so good it made me consider going back again today. The 7 layer chocolate cake…I am telling you…that’s what angels eat. Thank you Wildwood for making a rare and spontaneous date night special and celebrating our anniversary with us!
