   I was looking for a new place for a place to have a date night. Good drinks and good food. Unfortunately with whiskey cake (bad name for a restaurant) none of those things were there. The only good thing about the experience was making the reservation and being seated. When we left the waiting area had a lot of people. I thought if I had to wait plus have the experience and pay the amount I paid… I would be even more upset. The service was slow. Very discombobulated, food came before the drinks. Dropped water in a jug that came out of the tap. No gentleman’s cube or rock for the bourbon. Very very minimal selections when it came to the food. When we did get it I wasn’t impressed considering $30 for flank steak and fries. That was room temp. Decided to get the whiskey cake considering it is a staple, I guess. Only thing good was the whipped cream they make to put on top. If ur gonna name the restaurant after the desert or vice versa u might want to impress the hell out of the people away with it. Oh I ordered another round of drinks before the desert which never came and had to cancel it because it took too long. We arrived at 6:30 by 7:15 the noise level went up 3x’s higher than we got there. Seemed like 2 parties in the area we were on top of normal dining guests. This restaurant in a building that 2 other restaurants were before and they evidently went out of business. I won’t be back unless I hear there’s been a major overhaul in the place from service to kitchen. It’s Shane because I had high hopes for this place.

   Went for brunch with girlfriends. Sat in front of the kitchen. A little loud but totally normal in that spot. Our server, Bailey, was great! She would come back to the table and top off our mimosas (we had a bottle at the table) and allowed us time to chat and enjoy our time which was so nice since that was our sole purpose of going out for brunch. The farmers breakfast was delicious. The jalapeño cheddar biscuits were out of this world and the grits were perfect. Their orange juice is likely fresh squeezed (not confirmed but tasted so). Top notch and will definitely go again.

   The food was just OK.  And that’s the only reason why it’s not likely we would go back. The ambience and the service were outstanding. We ordered the tater tots when presented to us, they looked like smashed smothered hashbrowns. I had the smoked chicken salad. I asked for the chicken to be hot, chicken was cold and very dry. The steak frites, the steak portion was small but cooked nicely and the fries were excessively greasy and soggy. Just for the price point in that area, there are much better places to dine at.

   Great place with a large bar selection. Wish there was more wine selection wait service was good also very patient for new visitors on knowing the menu

   The restaurant looked very nice walking in and we were seated for our reservation on time. When we asked to order drinks the server said it would be 30 minutes or so before we would get them. When we asked if we could cancel the drinks order if we had been served and finished our dinner but had not yet received our drinks she said no, that we would be charged regardless. So we got up and left.

   Expensive prices for mediocre food. Service was poor. Noisy atmosphere. It's a one and done for me.

    The server was friendly and was very attentive and provided great communication. But, everything about the actual food wasn’t great. It came out super late and every dish was cold. One particular dish was so over cooked that it was almost inedible, we didn’t return the dishes though because it took so long for them to come out and we didn’t want to back the kitchen up even more. I will not be returning.
