An outstanding meal and ambiance, all for a good cause; Canine Companions, the largest service dog organization in the United States. Canine Companions provides service dogs at no cost to the recipient.

The food was very good and the service was good. This night was one of their charitable events night. They have a program of allowing people to attend with the proceeds going to the charity that sponsored the event. The charitable organization provides volunteer people to serve and bus dishes. This did have a negative effect on the level of service. The main problem was slow service but that was not a serious problem since we understood the situation was somewhat special and not a sample of their normally good service.

We love this restaurant. We usually go with friends and just share a multitude of appetizers. Their chicken tacos and Brussels sprouts being our favorites. This time, we also shared the chocolate molten cake. Delicious! Service is always great!

Valentine’s Day Disaster: A Chaotic, Unorganized, and Overpriced Experience We had high hopes for a nice Valentine’s Day dinner, but from the moment we arrived, 10 minutes before our reservation, it was clear this restaurant was completely unprepared for the holiday rush. The scene was chaotic, with a line out the door and reservation holders waiting an additional 20 to 40 minutes just to be seated. It seemed like walk-ins were being prioritized over those who had booked in advance, which is a major misstep in restaurant management. We had reserved our table a month in advance, yet still found ourselves waiting 40 minutes past our scheduled time. The hostess was overwhelmed, nowhere to be found for long stretches, and the entire check-in process was a mess. When we were finally seated, the table wasn’t properly cleaned, it wobbled (even after I requested a shim, which never arrived), and the cramped layout made it feel like we were elbow-to-elbow with other diners. The atmosphere was decent, but given the disorganization and lack of attention to detail, it was hard to enjoy. The Food: An Absolute Letdown Unfortunately, the food did not redeem the experience. The only redeemable dish of the night was the macaroni and cheese. Everything else was disappointing at best and downright inedible at worst. • The Brussels sprouts were undercooked and overloaded with garlic. • The fries arrived lukewarm, with cheese that had long since stopped melting—clearly sitting out before being served. • The biggest offense? The nearly $60 steak. I ordered it medium rare, but while the outer edges were overcooked, the center was practically raw. On top of that, they drenched it in an overwhelming and salty caper sauce that completely overpowered the dish. Even though the steak itself had no flavor, and there was way too much fat on a cut that was supposed to be $60. Back to the caper sauce, scraping it off didn’t help—it was still overly salty, and so was my mood by that point.

Well prepared and very delicious food with a wide range of small plates and really good specialty cocktails. Plus, our waiter was outstanding…Carlos…but unfortunately he was doing a short stint for the owner as a favor.

The burger was flat, overcooked, dry fries. The salmon was quite good. Waiter rushed around, we waited. Bar drinks slow. Not the best!
