   The service was great, warm and welcoming, attentive but not interruptive. The food was above average. My husband had the halibut, he said it was very good but my rib eye - oh my gosh it was cooked perfectly. It had a sauce. Supposedly truffle, but I didn’t get that overwhelming truffle flavor so the actual flavor of the steak came through and it was scrumptious. I only wish it had been a bit larger but was perfectly satisfied. They must have a new chef, because this was above and beyond. You made my husbands birthday extra special and renewed my faith that Redding can be a foodie town after all. Thank you View 202!

   Waitress was excellent, also other assistants. Food was good. I was surprised at the dress of many patrons. Many in pajama bottoms brings down restaurant environment.

   View 202 is a great restaurant. Our food was delicious and the bottle of Groth Chardonnay was exceptional. Our server was very attentive, and the general manager even took time to come over and greet us. We will definitely be going back.

   As usual, lunch at View 202 was very enjoyable. The food was excellent and our server did an exceptional job. Few places, if any, in Redding do a better job for lunch than View 202. Highly recommended.

   We had the charcuterie board paired deliciously with a wine suggested by our waitress for an appetizer. Our salmon entree was perfectly cooked and the chocolate cake was decadent! Beautiful romantic atmosphere!

   I really want to give a good review. The staff were nice, the food was delicious but the service was very, very slow. Thank goodness for the great conversation and beautiful view.

   The service was good except one of our drinks came very late (almost done with dinner). The food was okay. I had chicken added to my fettuccine and it was cold. The Caesar salad was okay but a lot of dressing.

    We ate dinner there on 10/30/24. We were very disappointed and we won't return. My buddy ordered branzino and I a filet mignon. The branzino is described on the menu as, "Pan Seared Branzino Served with An Emulsified Butter Sauce Over a Bed of Baby Broccoli and Saffron Risotto" The steak, "Filet Mignon Served with a Beef Demi Glace, House Mashed Potatoes, and Tricolor Carrots" Well, the branzino was on top of something that looked like yellow-colored boxed rice from the grocery store, and it was not just room temperature, but cold like they took it out of the refrigerator before serving it. It was not by any stretch actual risotto. And there was not baby broccoli present on the dish. Also, it was a tiny piece of fish that was about three ounces, including the skin, and it was wildly overdone. It looked dehydrated. As for this steak, it did not come with tri-colored carrots, but just orange ones, and the Beef Demi Glace sauce was basically gloppy wine-based gravy, not sauce. Also, the waiter had indicated the steak was 'really thick', like 2 inches. However when it came it was about the flattest little filet I've ever been served, maybe 1 inch thick before it was cooked, and weighing perhaps 4-5oz.
