Vespaio Restaurant is one of the original South Congress eateries and remains one of Austin's favorite Italian go-to's among locals and visitors. This casual dinner venue is a popular choice for date nights or evenings out with friends, seating every day at 5pm. The interior of Vespaio Restaurant is decorated with ceiling tiles, ceiling plans, vintage pendant lighting, classic table seating, a plethora of wine racks and vibrant accent walls.In addition to a full bar menu, Vespaio Restaurant offers a lengthy selection of mouth-watering and flavorful authentic Italian dishes. Menu items include carpaccio, mixed seafood stew, lasagna, mussels, calamari, spaghetti carbonara, chocolate hazelnut cake, panna cotta and green pasta with shrimp.     I come to Austin for work every few months. It is only a good trip if I come and have the best lasagna in Austin, maybe in Texas. Already looking forward to coming back.

    From the moment we arrived we were well taken care of. Our waiter was very attentive and nailed our orders perfectly. The food as always was delicious. The risotto balls were to die for. The spaghetti carbonara is the best I’ve ever had and I order it every time we dine here. Richard the general manager couldn’t have been more gracious stopping by a few times to insure everything was up to par. It is by far our favorite Italian restaurant in Austin.

    Wonderful time at Vespaio! We went to celebrate our anniversary and the whole staff congratulated us, had a card and gave us complimentary champagne and anti pasti. The food was delicious, but portions were a bit small

    We had a delightful dining experience. The food was fantastic, and the service was excellent. Although the main course took longer than expected to arrive, the staff made concessions to make up for the wait, and it was definitely worth it. However, the place is quite loud, so it's not recommended if you're looking for a peaceful, quiet environment. On the bright side, the pizza preparation was entertaining for my kids!
