Almost three years on from its culinary christening, Upstairs has sparked a reputation for casual dining in its finest form. A self-contained dining space, Upstairs offers guests a selection of small plates from our daily-changing menu, all of which are cooked to order from an open island kitchen and designed to share.

As well as being available for reservations and exclusive hires, Upstairs proudly plays host to a variety of exciting events and special evenings for our guests to enjoy; from expertly-led wine masterclasses to convivial Sunday lunches.

Our aim has always been to offer our guests the opportunity to get closer to the cooking process than ever before, and with the unfaltering passion and dedication of our team, a recently (and very proudly) received Bib Gourmand Award, and the continued support of our wonderful guests, we truly see nowhere to go but up.

    Very chilled vibe and wait staff make you feel very relaxed. The food was fantastic and served at a pace that made it not feel rushed or like they wanted to just turn tables over and get the next through the door. What amazed me was that the chefs seemed to serve the whole dining room on a single jib and small charcoal grill and a small oven!

    Absolutely superb!!! Love the Sunday lunch club. The beef is just amazing. Prawn cocktail starter also fab. Service was great with Michael looking after us extremely well. Thanks guys. You rock!!!

    The food as always is so good - unbelievable quality at a relatively modest price. The service today was simply superb - welcoming, accommodating, supportive, fun, suitably interactive. A top drawer experience all round !

    This was one of Trinity's seasonal "Wine Dinners", in which Adam Byatt and his stellar team provide a tasting menu, accompanied by well-chosen guest wines. This is not like your standard restaurant visit, because it involves getting to meet and talk with Adam, his team, and the wine people; and the entire atmosphere is wonderfully warm and convivial. You also get talks about the dishes and wines on offer, and to see the team working in the kitchen, producing and carefully plating the dishes. Oh, and the food? Well, anyone who has ever visited Trinity will be unsurprised to hear that it is always superb. Adam uses many classic ingredients together with a few more unusual ones, and produces dishes just bursting with flavour. He has that knack of combining flavours so they absolutely sing in the mouth in perfect harmony, without ever being overpowering or losing their individual notes. Highly recommended.
