   Saturday noon, I took a couple of dear friends to your restaurant in Virginia Beach. We had a nice meal and much conversation, catching up on mutual friends, relatives, etc. Unfortunately, when the check came, I could not pay the bill without handing the server cash, a credit card, or a check, none of which are in my life now. My guests had to pay the bill. Since the introduction of virtual payment technology A DECADE AGO, I have transitioned into the formerly all-male prerogative of not carrying a purse. My iPhone carries my credit cards, ApplePay, and a dozen other entities that used to be carried in physical form in my purse. I was embarrassed and unhappy that such a ubiquitous technology was not available on the Main Street of the huge tourist city of Virginia Beach. Needless to say, I won’t be going back to Tupelo Honey until I am assured that virtual payment is possible.

   Waitress was attentive and overall great . Chicken Tortellini soup delicious . Food lacks seasonings ( Entree )

   We had a group of 20 tonight and the staff and food was fabulous. We had entrees from meatloaf, to salads, fried chicken, chicken and waffles, chicken sandwiches… all of it was perfectly seasoned, juicy and you can believe if we couldn’t finish what was on our plate we took it with us!

   I had the cob salads with chicken …. Very good and filling. Husband had the chicken and waffles crème brûlée….he said it was great

   The Chosen location is very good especially if you are able to find parking in the garage. The apps were good, there small biscuits and jelly was amazing and great price. When it came to the entrees presentation was good but the food was cold understood it was valentines night but that part couldve little better. Our Server was nice but was didnt get checked on as frequently especially for refills on refreshments the glasses used are not very large so the amount of time some may require a refill is case by case. Dessert the Banana Pudding was a great way to end the evening. So id say with minor adjustments this place is a good spot to go for date nights!

   Great service. Very busy even with early reservations. Meals were wonderful. Always a little louder with the bar area but still family friendly.

    Fried Pickles were tasty. The sweet and spicy chicken was very delicious. The spicy Bloody Mary at $14 ( overpriced!) had a soggy piece of bacon on the bottom of the drink that I had to fish out of the glass. I didn’t know what it was at first. Collard greens tasted awful and were gritty , as if they were hanging around for 3-4 days or as the waiter explained may have been the last dregs in the pot. Ew! Waiter was tending bar as well as serving us so we were not receiving much attention. Dessert was brought to us after waiting a very long time. It came with apologies for being so late that it was taken off the receipt. The pecan pie was good. Not sure about all the stars for this restaurant. With so many others in the area we probably won’t go back.
