   Excellent all around. I decided to go for lunch on a whim and it was so good. The history of the building and space has a modern feel while respecting the history. The windows to the distillery and seeing the small kitchen space work is fun and unique. I had the Slaughterhouse and Sazerac Bourbon and Rye based cocktails - best cocktails I have had in Calgary bar none. Smooth, exceptional- not just a glass of flavoured ice. For lunch I had the pickerel sandwhich and Kenebec fries. The fish was cooked perfectly, batter was thin with a crunch. It was a solid and filling piece of fish. My only critique is how messy the green sauce was. There was so much on my bun it dripped everywhere (to the point of being a bit embarrassing) and started making the bun a bit soggy. Potato buns don’t hold up well when excessively moist. Please hold back and/or change the bun Homemade, well cooked fries are always delicious Hilary was a lovely waitress. Explained the history of the space, invited me to look around, explained their own distilled vodka, gin and bourbon, was helpful with the menu. Amazing service I highly recommend checking out this place. Great for a romantic or friend date, or a solo treat for oneself (also thank you for treating a solo diner well. Surprising how many restaurants do not)

   Lovely setting the building is amazing. The food was good but extremely expensive for what you get approximately $400 for 4. The lamb dish was very fatty. The chicken was the best dish that we had.

   Took our friend there for his birthday. Him and his girl friend had never been. They are both foodies and quite pickie. Sasha was our waitress. Exceptional service. Food was absolutely on point. We tried several appetizers. And then shared the 25 oz Rib Eye. And then finished off with an amazing desert and decaf coffee to finish off the night. Christine the manager on staff at the time took the time to inquire about how our birthday celebration had gone. Cheers to everyone at True Wild that made our evening amazing.

   Great atmosphere, food, cocktails and service ( thank you Jill ), such a great place with local history and the 8 year old whiskey is awesome, I recommend purchasing the spirits there, local and locally sourced, a gem.
