   I have the vegetarian burger (I forget the exact name) with the sweet potato mash. The food was very good, and a fair price. The service was quite good as well. I thought the restaurant was decorated and arranged very well, and quite clean. I don’t know I would go out of my way just to visit the restaurant (we eat out only once or twice per month, so the bar is high for us), but I would definitely visit again if I were in the Rio area doing other things as well (entertainment like Dave & Buster’s or the Red Door Escape Room, or shopping like Target or Dick’s).

   We have been trying to eat healthier meals which has led predominantly to cooking at home. True Food Kitchen has lots of flavorful dishes that are very healthy and moderately priced. Lots of great drink options as well. Tried the meatloaf which was excellent. Highly recommend the charred cauliflower as an appetizer.

   The food was very flavorful & perfectly cooked. We went during happy hour and ordered: beef street taco, edamame dumplings, crisp’d buffalo tenders, buffalo cauliflower, lasagna bolognese (not on HH menu), & vegan ice cream. Each item was nicely sized to share between two people. However, even with spice tolerance being low, the buffalo tenders & cauliflower did indeed have a kick! But I still continued to enjoy. As I am picky with red sauce, the lasagna bolognese was great, and, since it did cover the pasta at the bottom, the pasta was just a bit softer than al dente. But the flavor & texture over all was great! For drinks, I highly recommend the Skinny Passion Fruit Margarita over the Passion Fruit Spritzer. The Spritzer was very bland, while the Margarita was low on sweet but flavorful and well balanced with the tequila. Our server Gabe was also very nice and attentive, took care of the spritzer dissatisfaction with no questions & quickly.

   Very nice experience overall. Dumplings and Guacamole are excellent. Tenderloin was over cooked , but still tasty. Service was excellent. Prices are reasonable. Will surely come back.
