Formerly know as King Street Trio, TRIO Restaurant is a part of our evolution.

Visit our rejuvenated dining room & experience the best Waterloo Region has to offer. Chef Kyle and his team have been dreaming of ways to excite your palate! From Wagyu beef to the freshest fish & local produce, to our multi-course Tasting Menu, we are thrilled to have you back. Benoit, our restaurant manager, continues to build a wonderful selection of wines from around the world, with particular love for France. Wine pairing is offered with our Tasting Menu or just chose from our consignment focused wine list. Most of our wines are unique to our venue.

Theme nights are offered every two weeks on Wednesday's. These fun & flavour filled nights create an experience that will take you away from France to Mexico to Italy. Our theme nights are available for you every other week on Wednesday's.

    The onset of fall frosts and fallen leaves doesn’t have to be all darkness and cold. In fact, winter is a time to dig deep into our pantries and unearth the bounty of the fall harvest. Root vegetables and bubbling soups, cream sauces and tender meats, winter is about staying warm and reconnecting with our inner hygge. Join us at Trio to celebrate, rather than denigrate, winter’s arrival with all the comforts and flavours of rich home cooking. 4 courses / 4 wines.               Very pleasant, eager and genuine service. Upscale flavours, with tremendous care and precision applied to the preparation and execution. Minimalist menu, which is necessary for this style of dining. Proteins/mains are possibly 4 ounces. Portion size is not listed on the menu for any of the mains, it is not a full chop or steak, you receive 2, perfectly cooked slices of beef possibly 3 slices for pork. Quality and precision is not cheap but for 80 dollars for the flat Iron steak, I felt very underwhelmed by the portion size. Spectacular taste but borderline tiny portion.

              We tried the TAST last night for me birthday, it is Top notch, in my opinion Trio is the best restaurant in K-W region.

              We visit trio restaurant in uptown Waterloo for special occasions whether a small business meeting or special family event , and have been visiting since it opened in downtown Kitchener some twenty five years ago. The atmosphere, service, and food is always great . Frankly in my humble opinion it’s arguably the best fine dining restaurant in Ontario .

              Amazing food, exceptional service, beautiful night! This is the best restaurant in KW by far. Their tasting menu is very reasonable for what you get, and never disappoints!

              The food and service was outstanding . Flavours were off the chart. Small menu but be assured that everything on was the highest of quality. Everything was prepared fresh so be prepared for a bit longer of a dinning experience.

              Awesome food and a great manager. They went above and beyond for service and made my son’s graduation dinner very special! I would gladly go there again.

              Fantastic dining experience. Food was amazing, cooked and presented to perfection. Service was wonderful, attention to detail exceptional! We were celebrating our anniversary and would absolutely recommend this fine Resturant to anyone looking for a great night out to remember!
