Trattoria Il Panino is the kind of place that one would expect to find along the Amalfi Coast. It is a warm, friendly, unpretentious and a food-focused environment. From the casual and positive energy of the atmosphere and waitstaff, to the serious and professional energy of the kitchen, the front
and back of the house form a desirable marriage. The entrance on 260 Hanover street has a full liquor license.

With standout dishes like "best lasagna ever" and a memorable ambiance featuring a basement wine cellar vibe, it promises an unforgettable meal. The food and service are always quite good at Il Panino. The waiter was accommodating and helped one of our party to create a special vegetarian dish made to order. Even though it came with the wrong pasta, she still enjoyed it. The dining room tied to the bar is noisy but not atypical for the North End. Also, lights too dim to read the menu! But these little things won’t keep me away in the future.

Authentic North End Italian eatery that does not disappoint. Another of the DePasquale Ventures culinary experiences that serves fresh Italian favorites and in a sprawling old North End building on famous Hanover Street. Parking can be challenging, but the food-- and service-- is worth the venture.

The restaurant provides superb customer service. Guillermo at the bar was extremely attentive. We ordered the EXPRESSO MARTINI, and we had the BEST EXPRESSO MARTINI ever! The food was to die for. We ordered the pene, lasagna, tortellini and WOW, the flavors, presentation, and how the server entered to the table ON POINT. The restaurant is always busy and small, so I HIGHLY RECOMMEND to make a reservation. The team at the front desk should be more "happy" about the fact that the restaurant is always busy, that means they are going to have a job for sure :), as they showed that we're overwhelm with the amount of people. SUGGESTION FOR THE LEADERSHIP A training on how to deal with customers during difficult and busy times will help tremendously. I was extremely kind and patient with the young gentlemen and female at the front desk when I asked about my reservation and their body language and answers were abrupt as the line was long, the restaurant was busy, and many others were asking the same question. We will definitely come back again and again and again. Thank you! Happy Holidays!

We had a table at the lower level , there was a very strong sour smell like humidity mixed with something fermented which prevented us from really enjoying the night . I understand there was a busy night due to Thanksgiving but the service was done in a hurry and unfortunately not in the best way. The food nothing extraordinary for the price

O M G - what a horrible place to have Thanksgiving dinner. The charcuterie was good. The sangria is super bitter. The water is WARM. The pasta came out cold. Waiter extremely pushy and rushes you the entire time. $123 for mediocre food. Don’t waste your $ here!

I had the chicken Parmesan and the portion was excellent. Our waiter Emiliano could not have been any more helpful and gracious. I was recommended this restaurant all the way from Florida, we were not disappointed. 👌🏽

We tried for a year to get reservations here based on recommendations from friends. We have been unsuccessful until Thanksgiving. We arrived on time and were seated promptly. We had to wait a bit to place any kind of order, way beyond normal. Fine, it's thanksgiving. Our apps arrived and they were lackluster, especially my wife's Mozzarella Caprese. This was as basic as any dish could be, utter disappointment. The worst part was our main dishes. My wife ordered the ravioli porcini. It was so salty she could barely eat it. I ordered the Lobster Fra Diavolo. I was amazed that they did not supply me with shears for the lobster shells. They just gave me nut/shell crackers and a small fork to get into all the lobster. In a fine dining establishment I was elbows deep in sauce and lobster. When I asked for kitchen shears I was told they have none. Something so simple could make such a huge difference in someone's dining experience. My wife and I waited a year to get into this spot and left completely disappointed. Not only would I not eat here again, I would never recommend this spot to anyone. If you are going to eat straight pasta, you might be fine. Do not order the lobster fra diavolo if you aren't prepared for a hand battle with food.
